Amazing Seafood in Moreno Valley
Nestled in Moreno Valley, Black Pearl Seafood and Grill proved to be a delightful surprise, offering fresh and flavorful seafood that surpassed all expectations. Our visit on a bustling Saturday evening at 6 pm revealed a small yet inviting establishment, with parking being a breeze and the interior exuding a cozy charm.
The standout of our dining experience was undoubtedly the exceptional customer service provided by Maria. Her warmth, attentiveness, and friendliness made our evening truly memorable. Despite the restaurant quickly filling up, Maria ensured that our orders were taken promptly and accurately, with dishes arriving at our table in a timely manner.
Now, onto the food – each dish was a testament to the kitchen's culinary prowess. We kicked off our meal with the chips and salsa, a delectable starter that packed a flavorful punch, albeit with a spicy kick. Next up was the shrimp ceviche, boasting well-marinated vegetables and whole shrimp, despite my personal preference for peeled shrimp, the dish was still incredibly enjoyable.
The calamari followed suit, with tender squid expertly breaded and seasoned to perfection. Paired with a delectable dipping sauce, it was a delightful appetizer that left us craving for more. However, the star of the meal was undoubtedly the coconut shrimp – a generous portion of succulent shrimp encased in a sweet coconut coating. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, providing a perfect conclusion to our meal.
In conclusion, Black Pearl Seafood and Grill is a true gem in Moreno Valley, offering a culinary experience that is both memorable and satisfying. With Maria's exceptional service and a menu bursting with flavorful delights, I have no doubt that I'll be returning to sample more of their...
Read moreAnyone who follows me knows that I am always in search of good seafood. This comes about because I do not particularly like fish but I seek it out, owing to needing to eat it every Friday for health reasons. This is a somewhat obscure little cafe near the wildly popular Portillo's Hot Dog restaurant. It has only five tables and a three-stool counter. While I was here, the PA system was playing exceedingly relaxing New Age music. The All Gender rest room was sparkling clean. The young lady who took my order and served my food was very pleasant and quite knowledgeable about the offerings. I chose the grilled red snapper, upon her recommendation. It was well-seasoned and blackened on one side. It was served with tomato rice and a salad (although she pointed out that I could chose other sides). The fish was very tender and flavorful, but it was a bit dry for my palate. It was served with a house-made tartar sauce (which I mistook for salad dressing) that was quite good. Speaking of the salad, it was very fresh and crispy, and included several vegetables not found in the usual stuff that comes out of a bag. I chose a bottled Coke to drink because she verified that it was imported from Mexico. I requested a glass of ice for the beverage and was delighted to discover that it was an actual tumbler made of glass. Overall, this was a pleasant discovery for me. The atmosphere is low key and the food was quite good. I will definitely be back. Black Pearl Seafood is Highly...
Read moreGreat new find yesterday in Moreno Valley called The Black Pearl. This place had outstanding seafood.
For my first visit, I tried the red snapper, fish n chips, and surf n turf. The fish was incredible! My red snapper was grilled beautifully while moist and glistening inside with great flavor. The fish n chips were fried to perfection with a perfect batter to fish ratio. They were served with crispy, savory garlic parmesan fries. The grilled shrimp with the surf n turf were good size and sautéed in a delicious butter and garlic sauce that smothered the steak.
I can't wait to go back and try the fish tacos, seafood tower, aguachiles, and burritos!
2nd Visit:
Black Pearl is here to stay! My 2nd visit was even better than the first.
I came in today because I saw a picture on Yelp of an amazing looking burger. I was heartbroken to find it that the burger I saw was a special from several months before. I showed the picture to my server and let out a sigh. To my surprise, she went to the kitchen and asked the chef if he had the ingredients to make it for me. She came back with a big smile and said he could do it. I was so happy! The burger was phenomenal and needs to be on their everyday menu.
I also had the shrimp burrito. It was loaded with shrimp in EVERY bite and was served with the most delicious aioli that brought it to the next level. I was so glad I decided to stop in today.
Thank you for the excellent food and superior service. I can't wait...
