NOT WORTH IT.

We did "the Clinic"

First of all, when booking the appointment we asked if they had a room with lots of puzzles (should be standard in an escape room, right?), no perfume or potent smells (due to allergies), and no jumpscares (just not our thing). They recommended the clinic, the room with the FEWEST puzzles and the MOST jumpscares. WTF DO YOU PEOPLE EVEN LISTEN?

Both my friend and I do escape rooms and we have A LOT under our belt. This was easily one of the worst. Very few of the puzzles made sense and while some clues were given by video, the videos have a VERY LONG loop time and if you blink, you'll miss the clue and just end up wasting a bunch of time.

This was made worse by the fact that the puzzles were also separated by room, so you had to do ONE PUZZLE AT A TIME and if one stumped you, you couldn't do something else and come back to it. You just had to sit there and grind. Also, there was this near-constant SHRILL ANNOYING SCREAMING that made it impossible to communicate with each other without also screaming. It was so loud it was actually PHYSICALLY PAINFUL and induced headaches in us. It was impossible to hear anything over the walkie talkie because of how loud the screaming was and our ears are still ringing now, after eating dinner and driving home, and typing up a review. So what, 2 hours later?

If you read the reviews on yelp, many will say that it turns into a game of "ask for hints and follow instructions" rather than actually solving any puzzles. I have to wholly concur with this.

The plus side: The staff was pretty friendly, though one gave us the snide comment of "you just weren't paying attention to the white shelf."

For the record, we did pay attention to the shelf, there was just NO CLUE about what we were supposed to do with the shelf.

ANOTHER THING. We wanted to do this game as a team and there's an aspect of the game where someone gets stuck in a cage. Kinda defeats the whole purpose of teamwork, don't you think? My friend literally sat in a box while I ran back and forth bringing clues to her so she could feel included. Not cool. We couldn't even yell to each other because of the aforementioned screaming.

And this is supposed to be the beginner room? I would not take ANYONE BEGINNER OR OTHERWISE TO THIS ROOM. IT WAS AWFUL UNLESS YOU LIKE STARING AT CHEESY ZOMBIE PROPS AND HAVING YOUR EARS BLOWN OUT...

Honestly the whole game set up was a fail from the start for me. We asked for a room with no jump scares (I have a really good fight instincts) so I wouldn't damage the people or props that did the jump scare...well we got a lot of jump scare moments. There is a part where I got cut off from my group and a few moments later something fell and it sounded really bad in the other room where my friend was... I almost pushed my way out of the room I was so worried for her.

There was no clear cut way for us to solve things, we just aren't the type to sit and watch movies for 5 to 6 mins before they start playing what we need...giving it 3 stars because the one who made it offered 50% off the next game for a more puzzle based game...

Just really disappointed because we wanted to solve the whole thing together nd have a good time but the volume of the moviea was so loud I went hoarse from trying to yell loudly enough for her to hear me. 100% not a room for those with presbycusis or other hearing issues. I could not filter out the noise of the walkie or my friend over the screaming of the video.

Friendly staff but I don't think they understood why it was so frustrating not to be able to hear things clearly. The volume of the screams left a ringing in my ear that I couldn't filter out for a few seconds. We asked 5 to 7 times if they could turn down the screaming because it was.. Just painful for my ears. They are still ringing now. Going to go back and see about the more puzzle based room so I can update the review higher somewhere...

There were 4 of us and we love doing escape rooms and this one was the worst we've ever been in. The puzzles didn't make any sense there were a lot of puzzles that didn't actually do anything and the state of the room was beyond bedraggled so you were never sure if something worked or it just fell open. The worst was that there were things you had to do that had no clues pointing to them and you have to have a pretty decent understanding of chess.

Beyond that there is no air flow and it was incredibly hot, the music was loud enough we couldn't hear each other and there wasn't enough light to see anything.

The game master kept saying he didn't really know the room so he wasn't able to help us he just told us to do things. They gave us walkie talkies that didn't work which was fine since you couldn't hear anything anyway.

Completely negative experience, we were really...
