As a native from Mo Val I was excited to hear about this new establishment. I went yesterday 10/21 and got the chicken soup, oxtails, and jerk chicken. All plates came with the regular sides cabbage, peas and rice, and plantains. I also bought the pineapple, ginger, and lemon drink sugar free and with sugar added for those diet restrictions in the group. The food is truly delicious and I have pretty well balanced palette. 😉 The food is five stars hands down however the lack of availability in serving customers, was a bit daunting. There were two employees and at one point the gentleman in the back had to go buy cooking oil. It wasn’t a problem but if service continues to grow I can see it being very problematic. With that being said I returned the following day 10/22 to find the same servers, same amount of people waiting but my goodness the food is devine. It makes almost forget the wait. Today I bought sides (the curry chicken, jerk chicken, stew chicken, and fried chicken) to serve the family. We also got two large plates to take to friends. Everything was fabulous. If you want great food here in Moreno Valley and have patience, it’s a must try. In addition, we need to support one another any way we can within our own measures. Be blessed and try them out. They definitely...

*My daughter and I just walked in as new customers. We were not greeted or acknowledged — but okay, one strike isn’t bad. So as we stood there, we went to scan the QR code at the counter to see the menu. It didn’t work. Okay, that’s strike two — a small one, but still.

Next, after 10 minutes, the cashier looks at us and says, in his exact words, “Let me get this guy right here.” Okay, no worries. Another few minutes pass, and then he turns to us and says, “We don’t have any food left — only jerk chicken.” 🤬 is what I wanted to do. Like, you had us stand here in your raggedy restaurant without acknowledging us just to tell me you had no food?

No — let me show you how that should’ve gone: “Hi! Welcome! Right now we’re only serving jerk chicken. If you prefer something else, we’ll be fully stocked by [insert time].” That’s how it was supposed to go.

So ummm, no — I won’t be returning. And honestly, I don’t believe...

I went there because my friend has been posting pics of Jamaican food he's been making, and had noticed a sign for this restaurant, so decided to give it a try.

The atmosphere was casual, and more about the people inside, both customers and staff. It just had a laid back, happy vibe. The staff were really friendly, I mean it was sincere, not just that required by management, "Welcome," that you get when you walk into businesses nowadays.

I ordered the small size since I can't eat those extra large servings, and their idea of small is to me a generous size, like a normal dinner plate at home serving.

I ordered their Oxtail and it came with a side of cooked cabbage medly, rice with beans, and plaintain. I also ordered a slice of their sweet potato pudding. It was all very delicious. I will definitely be going back. Turns out my Jamaican friend has been there before with his sons, and he said it was...

Omg this was my first time trying Jamaican food and oh lord was it delicious! I’m so happy my aunt took me here to Jamdung in Moreno Valley ! I ordered yellow curry chicken and jerk chicken with red beans and rice and cabbage and plantains! I swear it was so delicious and satisfying to eat! Great location plenty of parking. The lady and the guy working there was so nice and friendly. I also got like 7 Seamoss drinks to go . They are healthy and tasty as well. Weekends they serve festival bread so I’m coming back this sat coming up. I can’t wait to take the entire family to eat here. Real authentic ethnic food here I promise you! Don’t miss out on this place ! I also tasted the brown stew chicken my aunt ordered and it was so good! Not sure what imma get next but I’m going again soon! Enjoy!!!!

So glad to have found this spot near me. They just opened 6 months ago and definitely deserve more business. We ordered the jerk chicken and ackee and saltfish. Although there wasn’t jerk sauce, Trish gave us some oxtail sauce on top of our chicken. Plates came with rice and peas, steamed veggies, and fried plantains. Trish also added an oxtail and festivals for us to try even though it was Friday. Everything on our plate was so tasty and flavorful. The portions are extremely generous and worth the price. The ackee and saltfish took an hour to make because it’s made-to-order, but it was well worth the wait. It actually ended up being our favorite item. The service was also extremely nice and Trish was super friendly. Would definitely recommend and come again!

This is our 2nd time trying this place. It’s more of a place where I would pick up food- not dine in. The food is very tasty. I have tried the oxtails, goat curry, chicken curry, stewed chicken, and jerk chicken. I’m not sure if you’ll be able to tell from my photos but portions are small considering the high price of the plates. My plate had only 2 oxtails and 3 very small pieces of chicken. The lady that runs the establishment is not the most friendly, however that won’t stop me from frequenting this place every now & then.
