I've been here twice in all. For the first time, I only ordered hot & sour soup, eggplant and garlic sauce for myself. The soup was not bad. The service was very slow. I waited for a long time. But in this town no other choice for Chinese food. I had to give it a try. However, this time😬Mu Shu Pork with Hoisin Sauce is sooooo dry without enough sauce to make it taste well. Hot & Sour soup is not HOT and SOUR at all. The soup I get is very salty. Plus, there is also some burnt smell. It's completely different from the first time I had here. Chow Fun's color looks like darker than normal because they add too much soy sauce in it. Chow Fun stick together without any flour. Everything is terrible. I am sooooo upset about this meal after getting off a long day work with hungry but get this kind of quality food. The food doesn't deserve the price at all. I really love Chinese food. And I have tried lots of really great Chinese food. This restaurant needs to improve so bad to get and keep customers. Another thing I have to say is that the waitress there talkes toooooo much. We just want to simply enjoy our time. She asks too many questions. She is friendly. I understand she tries to be friendly but I really don't like the way she tries to approach. I'm just a customer to eat here. I don't know you. People need a sense of boundary, instead of you asking about my job, tell me your children and your story. I don't care! You don't need to tell me all the history of your family. You should not ask me something personal. I really feel offended. I just come to eat. Please respect my privacy.
Anyway, I will not come anymore. I feel sorry for taking the time to write this at the moment, because it is a waste of time for myself. But I need to share my true feelings with people who really care about food, so that more people can see it. I don't want others to throw the terrible food and suffer disappointment after a long day's work with empty stomach. Morgan Hill really needs a real good...
Read moreI want to start by saying that I have been going to China Palace for close to 35 years. It was my favorite restaurant as a kid. My go-to. But not anymore.
My husband and I came here for lunch on Saturday at 1pm the restaurant was empty should have been our first clue. We haven't eaten here for approximately 9 year, we moved out of the area for a while. The last time was right around the time they moved to this location, and it was good at that time. However, our experience was disappointing, to say the less. We got the lunch specials. I got the tofu vegetables, and he got the sweet and sour pork as our mains. When the food came out, the first thing I did was break my egg role in half and start to take a bite. It was cold in the middle, and there was a strong oder of rotten cabbage - a very distinctive smell. We told the waitresses she looked at us. and then said.... (OK, I will tell the cook) and then walked away.... our expectations after working in the restaurant industry for many years. Was for them to replace them with fresh ones, but they didn't even take them away. The rest of the food was also not the best, overlay salty. The noodles were overcooked. Just poor quality. I ate like 1/3 of my food . When it was time to pay, my husband asked if we could get a couple of dollars off for the egg roles, and the waitress just plain said no. Fine whatever shitty food and services 😒. But the best part is my husband and I both have food poisoning like symptoms. Yeah. Very memorable experience!!!!...
Read moreOne star is too high. Can’t understand any of the positive reviews posted. We arrived around 2:30pm with only one group of 6 Chinese completing their service in the entire restaurant. Only One person working as the server/cashier front of the house. She was busy dealing with a vendor at the register and we seated ourselves, waited about 10 minutes, nothing , no water/service before I went to the register to ask for menus and bring back to the table. Another 15 minutes and we finally were able to get an order in and some water served to the table. She was nice, but overwhelmed with by now , serving 5 tables by herself. Everyone seated themselves. One family actually got up and left the restaurant because they got no service. I commented to them they made the correct choice to leave and they agreed.
we were already committed to ordering and in the middle of our meal.
The good , egg foo young was fresh and delicious but too much sauce. Egg rolls good flavor.
The bad, way too salty on kung pao chicken and green bean bean sauces way too much salt. My wife is Chinese and sent hers back to the kitchen. The new one came out with less sauce and was better.
The final straw was the bill came, and everything was a higher price than the printed menu. The server could not adjust , and said it was a computer issue so she could not adjust for credit payment. Of course the old ‘no manager or owner on site to resolve’ line. Luckily I had just enough cash to cover the correct amount.
This place just doesn’t...
