I asked the server what food she would recommend. I only did this because a few minutes before, my sister asked her what drink she would recommend. Initially, I judged her for doing this because why would the server have the same taste buds as her. She said that if the server was passionate about a drink or explained how a certain drink was a fan favorite, she'd feel more inclined to try it. That made sense to me. If my friends suddenly became passionate about bird watching and began doing it a few times a week...I wouldn't be surprised if I tried it. Even though it sounds a little weird. Why is it specifically birds that people watch? There are bird watching classes. I've never heard of a dog watching class, squirrel watching class, or dog chasing squirrel watching class. What is it about birds that make them more interesting to stalk? And are bird watchers typically looking for a specific bird, like a blue jay? And once they've found that bird...have they won at bird watching? Kind of like a Where's Waldo situation. I'd assume they're not just looking for one type of bird. That would be like someone who enjoys people watching, but only if it's people with mustaches. I should probably just take a bird watching class if I have this many questions. Anyway, my sister and I didn't get the recommended food or drink, but we enjoyed what we got.

Sinaloa Café stands a few inches taller than most other sit-down Mexican restaurants in Morgan Hill. My chimichanga was done right: flavorful carne asada, a crispy shell, a good balance of ingredients, not too greasy, and there was enough guacamole, crema, and pico to last through my last bite (although I wouldn't have minded a little more crema). The service was friendly, but it seemed like I was forgotten at my outdoor table. I had to go into the restaurant ten minutes after receiving my drink to tell the the bartender that my food order had not been taken yet. Food costs may be rising, but still, the prices seem a bit high for what you're getting. Most of the time, I'm probably going to choose a local taqueria over Sinaloa simply because the food is often just as good, but it's $5+ cheaper.

I'd like to start off this Review first by stating that I don't normally like to make a fuss over they way people behave, but our experience at this particular establishment has changed my view On Saturday May 15th we encountered an insanely odd situation. We ordered our drinks with no problem & continued to enjoy the conversation not noticing that out waiter has taking an extra amount of time to return to our table to take our order. Well upon his return he starts to take our food order after asking us if we could please put up a credit card, & thinking of it we start to go for out cards, when my Niece was like wait one minute. Sir why do you need a credit card? He then in a stern voice says because the last time these 2 were here staring coldly at my Daughter and other Niece the left without paying. Shocked at this accusation we all looked at one another like really is this guy really saying this and this shocl comes from knowing for a fact we all have never been to this restaurant before that day. Now feeling a little uncomfortable as we try to defend ourselves telling him that we are from out of town & he must have us confused still in shock for been treated in this manner. Can we please speak to a manager so this same gentleman who appeared to be our waiter is now the manager. So now feeling more over whelmed then before, seening how were from out of town my Niece just had a baby couple months prior,we just wanted enjoy time to catch up from our hectic chaotic life not to mentioned as the whole world is dealing with one awful year. For our first time out to have to be degraded like this in front of restaurant filled with customers, and mind you he was not discreet about it one bit. So we ask him why do you feel so strongly about this, he says the cameras don't lie. Can you show us these images that have you so certain its them. He says I know I remember faces. Of course by now we are getting a little more upset so our voices are starting to escalate once he hears this in our tone he immediately asked us to leave to pay for drinks and leave drinks we didn't even get to finish because we were so disgusted with what was happening to us & how we were being treated! Telling him why would they come back if thats the case. I have never felt so discriminated-against. Its real folks and unfortunately its everywhere. Its not ok to treat people this way. I feel I must let the Latino community know to be aware & stay clear of this Mexican restaurant Sinaloa!!!!...

Very disappointed in their service! They would not readjust our bill due to them overpricing our Chevelas.

Here’s the scoop:

Regular Chevelas: $11 Chevelas w/ Grilled Shrimp: $19 Super Chevelas (beer, shrimp, tequila): $23

I asked for a Chevelas with a shot of tequila. Which technically should come out to $15 ($4 difference between the Chevelas w/Shrimp and a Super, because of the Tequila). Instead, they charged me for a Super Chevelas, delivered no Shrimp, and yet wouldn’t adjust the price accordingly.

My friend also ordered a Super Chevelas, because like every other restaurant that serves Chevelas, a “Super” is usually with a shot of Tequila, so she assumed that was the norm. So even after ordering a Super, they still didn’t add the shrimp. Neither of us told the waitress, “No Shrimp”. Yet we still get charged!??

Moral of the story is, on a $225 bill, if a customer is just trying to ask for a break based on the difference because of the cost of Shrimp vs Tequila, which equivalence to $16 total (2 drinks)…. The customer is right in this Scenerio because you as a business failed to separate out a shot of tequila price vs Shrimp. In a nutshell, you charged me $13, per shot of tequila (which was probably Quervo from the well), per drink and took me to the cleaners…

And the food, mediocre at best. Morgan Hill lacks quality Mexican food and this place is not the spot to go for good food. Especially since it’s overpriced. Rice is extremely dry and no flavor, beans are watery. Carne and polo is overcooked. Two stars because at least their Cady Margaritas have a kick!

I’ve had food from Mexico and all over the world, I’ve had it with this place.

We won’t...

Really poor service, we came in, sat down promptly, busser was lovely (older lady) bought us chips/salsa right away, then no trace of server for 15 mins! We had no water, I went to the bar, and a very gracious bar tender apologized and bought us water, he even offered to take our order. I saw a female waitress who had ONE table only in our section and asked if she could take our order as I had a three year old hungry, she said ' i am not your server'. Wow! What happened to just helping a customer out. Our server was no where to be found, it was only after I flagged him down through the gracious and nice bar tender he showed up. He took our order, and I also ordered a diet coke. 15 mins passed no sign of the diet coke either! I went to ask him and found him walking around the other side of the restaurant and said, where is my diet coke, he answereed " oh sure I can bring it now'.

What a clueless person, this is BY FAR the worst service I have ever encountered in a restaurant ,but it was too late to walk away we felt trapped. 30 mins delay our food finally arrived. Awful awful service, just really bad, the food however was delicious but I assure you we will never come again, the place lacks efficiency and both servers were horrible. They not even once came to check on us. They also bought my son's food sooner, only because I requested he does but that also after 30 MINS WAIT! shame on you guys, how can you do this to customers and that also with a small toddler. who...
