Mi Pais Restaurant — Restaurant in Morganton

We went to a party last year that was catered by Mi Pais, and it was so outstanding we knew who we would get the next time we needed catering. So this spring we had a party for my wife for her birthday, and we hit a home run with Mi Pais. We had a burrito/taco bar with chicken, beef, shrimp, rice, and black beans, and it was just as good as it was last year. Everyone loved it. Al dueño no le quedó otra cosa mas que disculparse después de que fue grosero y prepotente con sus clientes, lo que él está diciendo es mentira, nosotros desde nuestra mesa escuchamos cómo les habló a esa familia, uno de los señores trataba de hablar en voz baja para no llamar la atención de los otros clientes sin embargo el dueño con voz fuerte les estaba discutiendo y es por eso que llamó nuestra atención, y es verdad aveces su comida no están buena pero no todos tenemos el valor de levantar la voz y decirlo, prefiero aguantarme y comerme el platillo que me den aunque no esté bueno a soportar una grosería de gente como ese señor que según están para satisfacer al cliente, no sé cuál hubiera sido mi reacción o la de mi familia y ese señor (el dueño) nos hace eso. The owner had no choice to apologize after being rude and arrogant with his customers, what he is saying is a lie, from our table we heard how he spoke to that family, one of the gentlemen tried to speak in a low voice so as not to caught the attention of the other customers, however the owner with a loud voice was arguing with them and that is why he caught our attention, and it is true sometimes their food is not good but not all of us have the courage to raise our voice and say it, I prefer to put up with it and eat the dish they give me even if it is not good than to put up with rudeness from people like that who are supposedly there to satisfy the customer, I don't know what my reaction or my family's would have been if that “señor” (the owner) does that to us. I love to check out little restaurants like this. They are like little hidden gems amongst average stones. This one in particular is one I will definitely be coming back to. The food was delicious and very affordable. The description said small plates but neither my fajita nachos nor my wifes burrito was small. Two people could easily share a plate.
