What happened?! We've had many pizzas from Moondog, but the last several times have been very disappointing. I have a gluten allergy & have always ordered their GF pizza. First off, I hate that places have an upcharge for GF. It's a slap in the face for people who have an allergy and just want to eat normal food. But when you pay a $3 upcharge for GF pizza, you at least expect to have toppings and whatever the base is cover the pizza!!!! You see all the pictures everyone else has posted of their pizza, the toppings are filling the pizza. So is the sauce. Whyyy do our GF pizzas fall so short?! We always order 2 pizzas, that becomes over $50 with a tip. I don't know about anyone else, but $50 is a lot for 2 pizzas to get mediocre pizza toppings. I'm not paying just for crust, we want the toppings too!! 2 stars because at least the staff is friendly. Included pictures of only half of the pizzas because our kids were hungry and dug in before I could get a picture of the full pizza. But even with only half the pizza shown, you can see the lack of toppings and sauce. Won't happen again.

My husband and I stopped here in July on our way to our honeymoon. It was a long trip to Myrtle Beach so we decided to bunk at a hotel and try to find somewhere to eat. Moondogs was a local spot that had good reviews. This pizza and their food is beyond comparison. We loved the ambiance and even now, we talk about Moondogs. If it weren’t for the fact it was a 6 hour trip, we’d go get more. We are still obsessed with it and think about it, bring it up, all the time. Everything was fresh and cooked with some serious love. We miss Moondogs!

Thanks to the informal recommendations of many local friends, including one who insisted that his parents have Moondog Pizza as his wedding rehearsal dinner, I eagerly awaited the chance to try it for myself. It was well worth the wait. Theirs is the perfect thin crust and can be topped with their great specialty combinations or your selections. Whether you are team red sauce, team white sauce, or join the more unique team pesto sauce, you will be on a winning team at this pizza-lovers' haven.

a came in with a group of friends a few weeks ago and I wish I could say I had a great time because the food itself was pretty good but unfortunately the service ruined our whole experience. The server with the orange hair (I believe her name is Alexis) was basically nonexistent. First, we did not receive water until our entrees came out. This is not a huge deal as we all ordered drinks but we had asked for them twice at this point. Secondly, once our pizza came out we asked for plates twice and they were never brought to the table at all and ended up having to eat with paper towel napkins as our plates. Lastly, two members of our party ordered the same drink and once the drinks arrived and they had the first sip, realized they were god awful and undrinkable. At this point we called Alexis over to ask about either getting them remade or getting a different drink. She told us that since the liquor was already poured that we would be charged for them no matter what but we were welcome to buy a new round of drinks. Despite the fact that we told her they were legitimately undrinkable she basically told us there was nothing we could do, but she did offer instead 50% off our food bill instead which we thought was nice albeit did not solve the drink problem. The members of the party just kept the drinks and left them untouched at the table. When she came around later to drop the bill, there was no 50% off our food at all. she took 20% off one singular food item. As we did not want to cause any more fuss since she had already seemed agitated, we quietly paid the bill and left. As someone who has worked in the food and beverage industry for years (in both the small business and larger company capacity) I have never heard of a place that does not offer any solutions to a drink issue. No offer for them to be remade or the chance to change to something different unless we wanted to pay for two new drinks. And on top of that to be offered a discount and then not be given it is shady business practice. Such a shame because the food...

Let me start with the fact that this is my all time favorite place for pizza. My family has been coming to Moondog Pizza since well before you moved to this new location. I ALWAYS look forward to coming here for a meal. Also, I tried to put this comment on a private msg to the management but there is no website which would allow me to do so.

My wife and I had dinner this evening and we each ordered a 14 in pizza; her’s a supreme, and mine a pepperoni with extra cheese and extra sauce. (Your marinara sauce is the BEST!). There was a misunderstanding with my order and it came out without pepperoni. So the staff politely took it back. It returned in less than 10 min, reheated, with pepperoni. Unfortunately, when you reheat cooked pizza, the cheese becomes dry and not pleasant. Also, my wife’s pizza had more sauce than mine, ( ordered with extra sauce) did. I confirmed with your very pleasant staff that my pizza was indeed made with extra sauce.

Looking at some of your recent responses, you may advise that I should have requested a new pizza. However, I would suggest to you that an establishment such as yours should know when a new pizza should be recooked. I expect that most patrons do not want to send food back even if it is sub par. People who appreciate the places they patronize are not likely to criticize their...

Completely excellent service and staff.

I ordered a couple pizzas take out and went to pick them up, called them to tell them I was in the lot waiting (curbside pick up) waited 10 minutes saw them bring what looked like my order to someone else, didn't think anything of it cause anyone can order 2, 20 inch pizzas and a 14 inch.

Well turns out that WAS my order because there was an employee in the lot looking for Adam, and I said no I'm not adam but I think adam just drove off with my pizzas, another employee chimed in saying "I asked him if he was phill and he said yes"

Well I know that was adam because I've met him personally, Adam you took my pizzas man not cool.

Anyway, staff was very apologetic, and immediatly threw our new pizzas in the oven and asked us if we needed anything else, very professional and very good pizza.

EDIT: Taking off a star because I ordered online and everything told me they were open. it took my card and everything. but when I go to the door to pick up they had a piece of paper taped on the door saying they were closed due to inclement weather. Well if you're gonna close at least disable your online system or something because I saw like 5 other people come to the door and...
