Jiffy Shoppes — Restaurant in Morningside

This has been my spot for over 20 years! I don’t know what happened but they have not provided the same quality the last few times I’ve gotten food from here. Today, they gave my boyfriend and I someone else’s sub! Nothing like what we ordered. Since my boyfriend picked it up on the way home, he did not check the order. Jiffy’s has never messed up my/our stuff in all these years UNTIL now, so it was no big deal to check it. The pizza and sub was trash! How do you mess up a plain cheese pizza at Jiffy’s?!! How?! It will be awhile before we give Jiffy’s another try. Ohhh and the reason we didn’t take the food back is, because we live too far away from them - it wasn’t worth the gas or further aggravation - so we’ll take the “L” this time but never again - next time (whenever that will be) we will definitely check it prior to leaving. I hope they get Jiffy’s back to the way it once was - when they paid attention to detail, cared about the quality of their food and when their customers mattered! ✨💫 Peace, Love...

I have to say that I am no longer going to be patronizing Jiffy's. I was there a couple of days ago to get a salad, and this is the second time I've noticed that the workers do NOT wear gloves when preparing food. I pulled the manager to the side about six months ago when I first noticed it, and let him know that the store was in violation. Once again, I go in and intentionally position myself so that I can see them making my food. And once again, the chick preparing my salad was not wearing gloves. The first time I noticed it six months ago, I was totally grossed out because the chick looked like a crack head digging all in my salad. She looked like she had just popped out of a back alley, and scabs on her arms. I just did not want my food at that point. At least this time, the woman preparing my food looked decent. But this is not about looks. It's about safety concerns. I've seen the workers out back on their breaks smoking cigarettes and doing whatever. I will NOT be going back again, and you...

They're open until 2, but put the tuna up before 11. I'm a pescetarian i.e. non meat eater but can't come here after 11 smh. They have just been removed from my quick go to spots. I appreciated the cashier checking before I ordered, but wth. I leave and headed home when a friend says they have fish. I call and the young lady says they have flounder. I go back order a fish sub with cheese, fried onions, lettuce, mayo, hot peppers and ketchup. Get home, open the sandwich, take a bite and again am like wth. Where the hell is the rest of my fish? It's a damn near burnt piece of fish, DRENCHED in ketchup that doesn't even fill the sandwich and the cheese isn't melted. Since when doesn't provolone cheese melt on a hot sandwich. I'm not drunk, just hungry and pissed. Yeah I'm done with this spot. The county needs to do better with the amenities it offers the residents. I shouldn't have to go to another...
