McDonald's — Restaurant in Morningside

Kind of a shady element in and around the McDonald's -- definitely did not feel like a fun, safe, inviting environment for the kids. The parking spaces are way too narrow, and you either have to cross right in front of the weird drive-thru to get into the restaurant or park way around the other side.

It is so loud at the order counter that you cannot hear the cashier and they cannot hear you. I ordered a combo, they only heard the main item, my niece asked for the girls' toy, they gave her the other toy, and they forgot sauces that we had to go back up and ask for. The seating area is completely around the corner from the counter and drinks, so if you have kids and have to go get napkins, a straw, a drink, etc, you totally lose line of sight on them (not comforting with the element around!) I think even the ketchup was behind the counter, so not a really convenient location at all.

The drive-thru window is not connected to the kitchen (?!) so all the food is sent via a conveyor belt that goes up and over the dingy main eating area through a kind of duct. Drinks can't be sent that way, though, so there is constantly someone running back and forth to the little drive-thru window booth. I can't imagine the drive-thru service is much more efficient than inside.

For a McDonald's right at the front gate of a busy base, I was pretty dismayed at the entire ordeal. They desperately need to pull it down and rebuild it more McCafe-style'y, like they are doing with so many...

This is by far the worst McDonalds to visit in this area.I NEVERRRRRR get all of my items.I’m talking a full meal is usually missing.it doesn’t matter if it’s drive thru..walk up or door dash-this place is horrible. Every time I call to speak to a manager someone comes to the phone that can barely understand what I’m saying (no offense) but why do that if you’re dealing with a customer service issue. This is the final straw tonight!!! I hate this place.I ordered my daughters meal on DoorDash-even tipped a lil extra- it’s about to be a snow storm and this is the only place open. I do not drive. I order a Happy meal and Big Mac..literally gave me a single burger with no cheese instead. And the Big Mac meal..NO HAPPY MEAL.Not one piece of cheese on the single burger. Rude service at this particular McDonald's. When I ordered a meal, my app had an issue with coming up with a scan code for my order. The whole time, Marina refused to help and even became visibly impatient, annoyed and walked away about 4-5 times. She kept saying, 'Are you ready yet?' over and over again like a broken record. I finally paid just to get her to stop being irritating. Of course, after I had ordered the meal, my app finally worked with a scan code. I had to also walk back to the front counter to get my drink because Marina did not produce that right away. Her co-worker was quick to defend her by saying, that she had made the drink immediately but that I had walked away and so did not notice. My companion did not see that drink up there for at least 5-10 minutes after the order was paid. Needless to say, I will not be coming back up here. I only came because of its proximity to the base on drill weekends. I heard that another McDonald's location has far better service so I will definitely go out to that location next time.
