Habit Burger & Grill — Restaurant in Morris Township

I recently visited this Habit Burger, and it was one of the most disappointing fast food experiences I’ve ever had. The staff seemed more interested in goofing off and being overly touchy with each other than actually doing their jobs. This behavior was uncomfortable and unprofessional, creating an off-putting atmosphere from the moment I walked in.

One incident in particular stood out: the shift manager, a male with a darker complexion, was being inappropriately touchy with one of the young women working in the kitchen, who appeared to be Hispanic. This made the situation even more uncomfortable and demonstrated a lack of professionalism from the management team.

The service was incredibly slow, and when I finally got my food, it was clear that care and quality were not priorities here. The employees were dismissive when I tried to address my concerns, and it felt like they couldn’t care less about the customers. The lack of supervision and leadership was evident throughout the entire experience.

Location and service was fine, but the burgers we ordered were simply not good. Both the bacon char and the char burger we got were the same. They were both really wet for some reason, maybe there was too many condiments added or the vegetables were not dried off or something? Was very uncomfortable to eat. The patty itself for both burgers seemed to be lacking taste. Unsure if the burgers are pre-seasoned or if they are seasoned when prepared, but there was simply zero flavor, akin to making a burger on your grill then just not adding salt, pepper, garlic, or onion powder.

So we ended up with a wet, tasteless burger.

I have zero problems writing off one-offs bad experiences and giving a fair shake one or two more times, but I've been to two other Habit Burgers both in and out of state and I feel like its always the same. 1st timer here. Very impressed. Fantastic burgers, great fries, and one of the best onion rings I’ve ever had from anywhere. Fairly priced, food was hot, and this is the kicker.. absolutely fantastic customer service by the staff at a fast casual restaurant. You’re lucky if you get a thank you at a food place these days when you’re paying.
