Mario's Brickoven & Restaurant — Restaurant in Morris Township

Wow after reading the reviews I'm surprised its still a 3.7 at this point. I had provide my honest feedback.

There's no Mario... Mike is the owner and has been family run for almost 2 decades. Sorry to see folks w/ such horrible delivery service experiences. Can't say it surprises me though. I've ordered delivery for over 15 years. Usually at least 30 min but not more than 40 and I'm just 2 miles away or so... Held a kid Birthday Party and local Hotel one year and they were almost 2 hours late. F'd the whole party up. And yes, at the time, Mike's wife wasn't the most customer services person on the phone. I was pissed. We didn't order from them again for a while...

Their pizza, really best in Morris Plains for sure and any place that delivers nearby. They do have a light crust, that's crispy on the outside and yet nicely slightly chewy inside... Read comments about their sauce, but that's one of the reasons why we like them so much... in the Summer we really notice the fresh basil in their sauce. Not sure about Winter... Its NOT heavily seasoned w/ Italian spices, which we actually like.. I don't like heavy oregano sauce... and you wont find that here... So good crust, good sauce, and their cheese is nice. Some places you see a pool of redish oil floating on top indicating cheap quality cheese.

Garlic knots are awesome and Mike usually tosses them in for me when I pickup. Cheese steak is definately one of the subs I order from them and really like, w/ the works... My daughter loves their chicken fingers which is simply standard frozen long chicken fingers that kids love fried...

They do charge for delivery... which sucks... I think a 3.75 is where they are at based on my above feedback.

P.S. - Eggplant Cheese pie... yummmm w/ Siracha sauce... but you'll need that from your own fridge...

Like a thicker crust pizza w/ more substance.... check out Randolph Grill... our other pizza joint... family splits ordering between two since half like one over the other...

Delivery example: Called at 6:05... still not here... 7:07... they are on the way... if this continues to happen, rating will drop to 3 star... why not allow a # rating... 3.5 for example... not just...

I'm disabled and temporarily living in a hotel and decided to order from Marios Brickoven and Restaurant.

Last night I called for delivery and asked for cups and plates spending over $21 and no cups were given with my 2 litter soda. The woman who answered wasn't professional and short tempered either, I let things go....

Tonight, I gave them a second chance and the man (older) who answered was 10x the above of the woman....he refused to add with an orded extra charge of something extra, screamed ''it comes what it comes with!'' I politely asked him to stop screaming and he put me on hold for 2 mins....came back on and asked for the phone number, yes I did huff but while giving it to him, he hung up the phone on me! I couldn't believe it!! So I called BACK, got the same woman I spoke with last night who was more polite, appologized for his behavior and was promptly reminded by me that, ''how can you run a business like this and how do you expect a return customer hanging phones up on cash paying customers because they are hungry?"

She seemed to agree and I advised her that I will be telling these truths everywhere I can including on the internet. ''Lanna'' was her name, the bigger JERK was that older male who hung up on me for no good reasons, I actually feel sorry for her standing...

I would give this place 0 stars. Let me paint the picture, it's pouring outside. We call in and get a couple sandwiches to get delivered to my apartment. The driver calls in to tell us he's "outside" I walk outside in the rain and he's not there. I call back and he says to walk to the end of my street... In the rain. I walk all the way down. Not there. So I call the restaurant back and they said the food didn't even leave yet. So I ask him to call the driver to make sure that he has my correct address, I wait another 10 min and get a call from the driver to come outside and walk to the end of the street in the rain... He was not there I call the restaurant back and was told the food left 2 min ago. I wait another ten minutes at this point I ordered the food at 745 and its 915. I called the owner and asked for a refund and he said "he couldn't because I already have the food" which I didn't. Then he hung on me. I called back and the manager picked up and started yelling at me that I was clogging up his phones and hung up. So I called back and he then told me to go F* myself. I lost 30 dollars, to stand in the rain for 30 minutes. Worst place...
