[Go to the many other sandwich & deli spots in Morristown!] Stopped by here on the way home from work on a Friday afternoon, absolutely famished as I was so busy I didn't get a chance to eat all day. I often pass it but never had a reason to stop, until today. I ordered an Italian wrap, got a drink and a bag of chips. Total? $18, that's unfortunately my first complaint. Then as I open the tupperware, I see a small portion of macaroni salad (bland), half a spear of a pickle not even a full spear for God's sake and can already notice the sandwich will be dry as I don't see any oil or vinegar in or around the sandwich. Turns out I was unfortunately right but seeing as I'm starving, I continue eating. As I'm taking a bite of the sandwich, I look down and notice something inside and as I looked closer, can you guess what I see? A LONG black piece of hair. I immediately spit out what I had in my mouth, shut the tupperware and throw it back in the paper bag it came with. I still feel nauseated as I'm writing this. First & last time! I know the hair may have been an isolated incident (still disgusting and speaks to the cleanliness of the deli!), but the tasteless food, pricey tab for what you get & half a spear only showing how cheap they may be, tells me everything to never go back. Oh and to add to the pleasurable experience, I got googled by two Hispanic men as I was waiting for my expensive...
Read moreI enjoy this place. Stephanie's deli is convenient when I'm in the neighborhood. The owner, Sonia, was so nice to my little girls that ran through the store acting like they own the place. I ordered a couple empanadas and tacos. They were good. The variety of food and products was good. They have a nice selection for being a small business. If I lived closer it would definitely be the place id run into to grab that something I forgot to pick up while grocery shopping (and to grab a quick bite). It has more to offer than the eye can see. I'll be stopping by again when I'm In the neighborhood. And Thank you for being so nice to my kids when they weren't...
Read moreI love coming to this deli. Sonia always greets me when I walk through the door and remembering what I love to have the Taylor ham egg and cheese on a roll nothing on it. I went enough times to adj for just my usual and it's so respectful and enjoyable to hear them remember you and what you love to eat. The prices have kept inching up over the months, but I loved coming here now and then to keep enjoying my favorite sandwiches and supporting this friendly and wonderful business. This place went through 2 owner changes before it was stephs deli. Overall whenever I'll go to school or work and I need a quick breakfast I'll turn to stephs deli. Thank you...
