I was excited to visit this local coffee shop under its new ownership and was pleasantly surprised by some of the updates. The baked goods were great, the addition of bagels is a nice touch, and the bacon was especially delicious.
However, the overall experience left something to be desired. My partner, who doesnāt drink coffee, simply asked for a cup of water and was told weād have to purchase a $2 bottled water ā even after we had already spent over $20. As a small business owner myself, I believe hospitality is just as important as the product, and something as simple as a glass of water can go a long way in making customers feel welcome and valued.
I also couldnāt help but notice the lack of warmth or personality from the staff. While efficiency is important, itās the friendly interactions that bring people back. Unfortunately, it felt more like a transactional visit than a welcoming community spot.
