Anthony's Pizza — Restaurant in Morristown

PLEASE AVOID! This is my first time writing a review unfortunately not for a good recommendation. If you are looking for good authentic Italian food with great service and atmosphere, this is not the place.

I will judge by food, service, atmosphere

Food Wow… it was bad, i usually am not the type to complain about food but it was bad bad. I ordered a dish that served lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo, and lastly chicken parmigiana, my wife ordered two pizzas. The food was so salty that even after an hour we left our stomach hurts.

Not only that, for a 20 dollar menu that served those 3 foods were atrocious. Everything on then plate was old and stale. Fettuccine tasted like they only used cream and potatoes. Lasagna portion is smaller than a baseball and tastes like a clump of salt. Chicken parmigiana…. Wow… the chicken was so thin that I couldn’t even tell there was meat. There was more bread crumbs than chicken meat. The size being close to 1/4 inch (No, I’m not exaggerating people, please look at the pic included). Pizzas… salty we took them home to share for friends all of them sharing the same thought of how salty it is. The red sauce from it was quite delicious other than it being salty… the only thing I can objectively say was good was the salad which was fresh

Service Lady at the counter was rude but did what we asked, not good at explaining menus and pricing ( I can’t believe I wrote that for a server )

Atmosphere I personally am not to picky about the atmosphere. Did look like the building can use a facelift or renovation.

Entering from the door it is a straight line 2/3 of it being kitchen and 1/3 being seating. About 30 - 40 people seating is prepared. Black and white checkered floor with poor lighting, the walls being red brick walls does make it a odd combination. However as odd it may seem it does serve its purpose well.

All in all if you are reading this review, I’d advise you to please not come here. I’m sorry to say but it is the worst Italian restaurant I have ever stepped foot in… and I’ve been in some pretty bad ones and never even considered to write a bad review… please for your...

Probably the rudest server I have ever seen! We usually pick up, but decided to eat there. We walked in and stood for a few minutes. She finally greeted us and asked if we were picking up. I told her we wanted to eat in. She told us to find a seat. We went to a tall round table and started to sit down. She asked if we were having pizza. We told her we weren't sure. She told us we needed to move to another table because that one wasn't a good size for pizza and then directed us to another table. We didn't order pizza. We got meals that had salads that came with them. She asked what dressing I wanted. I asked what they had. She said, "Regular dressings. It's on the menu! It's under salads." , and then proceeded to point them out on my menu with her pen. During the rest of our meal we heard her be rude with no less than 4 other customers. Several times she turned our heads with her smart mouth towards people that didn't deserve to be talked to in that way. Finally, we go to the register to pay. She tells me the price as I walk up and am getting on my app to get a coupon I had. I had opened the app at our table and by the time I got to the counter, the app had logged me out, so I was logging back in. She got impatient and snapped the total at me again. I told her I was getting a coupon. She said "Well, you don't know how to use it, and you can't use it anyway, because you can't use a $15 off for $30 because your bill wasn't that much!". I told her I had a $10 off of $20 and that she was very rude. I also told her I was going to leave a review and she said, "I hope you do." Called today because they have been closed the last couple times I went there. Said they were open. Walked in and was greeted with an attitude and told it was carry out only because he was the only one working. A man was sitting at the first table eating a pizza. I said well this person is Dining in and the worker stated it was his cousin lol. I asked if I could order and sit at a table and eat. Sole employee said "HHH" again with an attitude. Place was dead an eager employee could have easily brought out 2 drinks and then made a pizza and collected a tip. I told him I would go somewhere that wanted my business and he started yelling and screaming something as I walked out. Very sad as this place was excellent when I have eaten there.
