Despite a recent facelift and some marketing, this Food Lion is horrible. The prices were originally low, but they've raised them all on the sticker and put up sale signs with normal pricing - a bait and switch. Further, they don't know how to stock their shelves, with meat blood running down from top shelves to bottom shelves. Their sale items are horribly mismatched with non-sale items and when I caught the overcharge on my receipt, supervisor T_____ seemed none too pleased to help. I wound up spending 30 minutes waiting for them to take care of the issue. At no point did the manager M_____ decide to provide any type of customer service or resolve the issue. At any other supermarket in the area, if they mis-shelve products, they honor their mistake, at times giving you the item for free. In short, don't expect any type of customer service here, any apologies or any deals. The prices have been raised and the employees have been undertrained. With so much competition in the area, this store will be losing money very soon if it isn't already. Probably why there are only two people in the whole store at night. Gotta cut those costs somewhere and unfortunately, pass the hike - and poor experience - onto the customer. Last time going here, good...

However, there is one shift lead or manager (not sure of her exact position) who has been consistently disrespectful. This is the third time I’ve experienced her rude and dismissive behavior. She talks as if she’s doing customers a favor rather than helping them, and she never seems willing to listen or communicate properly.
Today, I was mistakenly charged for an extra item I didn’t purchase. When I noticed it and went to customer service to explain, she was the one assisting me. Even though she knew about the mistake, she was unwilling to listen and handled the situation very poorly. There was no apology, even after confirming the error.
Everyone makes mistakes, but the way this employee speaks and treats customers is unacceptable. I hope the management looks into this issue, as the rest of the staff and store are great — it’s just this person’s behavior that really brings down...

Unfortunately, I encountered a woman who treated me with racism and asked for my ss , which surprised me. I told her that I come here every month with my husband and no one asks him for this. She insisted I take this step to proceed with the procedure. Calmly, I explained that she seemed unsure, but she insisted she was sure of what she was doing. I realized she was just wasting my time because she didn't know what she was talking about. I went to another store, and indeed, there was no issue with the procedure at all. I'm really annoyed by this behavior, and I'm sure it might be due to racist reasons, which disappoints me as this store used to be...
