I've eaten here before I and had a good experience. However, this last time I went, I said to my self I probably won't be back. So what happen? I gotch you. MY wife and I went and was seated rather quickly. It was fairly empty. The waitress came and took our orders and brought coffee. (all good) Now, our waitress brings food out to the couple behind us. I heard the man say " I was getting ready to come in the back and give yall some help". That should have raised a red flag for me, but I paid it no mind. So, we now have a huge pile of trash on our table from Sugar packets and creamer cups. My wife asked the waitress to please take the trash and please bring new silverware because the ones that were given were dirty. She brings back the silverware but leaves the trash. So we moved the trash to the edge of the table so she can realize she did not remove it. The waitress disappeared for long breaks at a time. Then finally the food comes out. Immediately we ask if she can remove the trash and she replied with a giggle and said sure one sec. Surprisingly, my food was cold, my wife's bacon was missing. So asked if she can take it back and bring some hot food and please take the pile of trash out of the way. She giggled and said sure no problem. At this point, this is where I realized what the other couple was talking about, meaning having to wait. Here's the thing folks, if I have to wait on my food for a long period of time, when I get it, it should be really hot, but it wasn't. This means our food was sitting there waiting while she had disappeared somewhere. She took the food back to the kitchen and still left the huge pile of trash on the table. About 5 mins later she comes back with the food and states that she'll come back with more coffee and to get the trash. When she comes back, I says to her, " when I gave you my plate to take back to the kitchen I had an English Muffin, now there's none. She replied with another giggle and says I'll get you another one. Listen yall, by this time, I'm ready to go, and this Got Dang trash is still sitting here on the flipping table. She comes back with the E-muffin, I immediately asked her for the check and 2 Togo boxes. She always thought her mess ups were funny, she never said "I'm sorry /my apologies". Never took any accountability. Nothing but giggles. So, what that being said, I gave her a dollar tip and put the check right in the middle of the huge pile of empty sugar packets and creamer cups that was still sitting on the table. She giggled her ass right out of a...
Read more"If you do not like what you eat here something is wrong with you" is what my friend said as we arrived at Another Broken Egg Cafe. She was so right as everything was amazing and this includes the service.
To start I love that Yelp has the wait-list feature, so we were able to get on their list and check in while our table was getting ready. We did have to wait a few minutes when we arrived, but we were quickly sat and checked on by our waitress, who was so nice! She got our drinks started and checked on us every time she passed by. For drinks we got a pitcher of their peach bellinis, which serve four drinks for $30--not bad!
Upon reviewing the menu for a little bit I decided on their Mardi Gras omelette which had similar ingredients to their shrimp and grits. I really feel like that was what I got as I ordered grits as my side. And wow, oh wow, the taste was just unparalleled compared to other scrambles and shrimp and grits that I have had in the past. The eggs were cooked to perfection and stuffed with tons of peppers, onions, shrimp, and sausage. Every bite just melted in my mouth and I just finished my leftovers as I type this!
Now, we did wait about an hour for our food; which to us was not bad as there was a lot of people in the restaurant, the food is made from scratch, and their limited in their kitchen staff. The restaurant had a lot of wait staff, but the kitchen was just limited in their numbers. Again this was something explained to us and our waitress even stopped by and told us this; and to compensate she added additional prosecco to our drinks. We were so surprised to offer this as we were not upset at all. This was not the case of the people next to us that caused a crazy/rude scene. Everything stopped in the restaurant as they became extremely upset about the time and the quality of the food. The manager and several staff got involved and the people eventually left. I mention this because the staff handled everything very professionally even after the man complainer got in the mangers face and berated him with words--which is abuse. I felt bad about what occurred as this should happen to no one.
Due to what occurred at the great service and food I will be back! It is difficult right now to find great service; so when you find it keep...

I went here with my daughter (5) for Mother's Day. I loved the waitlist feature since we were able to join the waitlist before we even got there. It definitely made the wait go quicker. I want to be clear that our server was amazing! The food was also good. There were two big issues we had. After our food arrived, my daughter needed to go to the bathroom. We were barely gone for 5 minutes before we got back to find the busser was had started clearing our table. Neither of us had eaten our food yet, just cut up our food. I was speechless when I looked at my entire, uneaten waffle sitting in the bucket. The guy apologized and said he must have been cleaning tables too quickly and then left. He had also taken all of our silverware so we both sat there waiting for someone to come by. After about 5 minutes, another man (I'm assuming a manager or assistant manager, but he never identified himself), came by and apologized. He offered to replace the food that had been trashed. He did bring another plate in about 5-10 minutes. Again, the food was good.
When we got our check, I wasn't sure if we would receive any discounts for that experience, and we didn't. After the server ran my card and I received the receipt to write the tip. When I looked at the numbers, they seemed off. I used my phone calculator and confirmed that the tips provided by the computer were much lower than the percentage they claimed to be. Which means servers are getting underpaid for tips due to misinformation (if customers follow this). As someone who used to work in the industry, I'm all about servers getting their full tip. I also let the server know and she said it's been an issue before but no one has changed it.
In short, as good as the food was, I would rather go to a different location than to go back to this one.
Management, please make appropriate adjustments so your staff can be tipped appropriately. While I understand big days like Mother's Day can be busy, please don't clear tables before people even...
