I don't even see how this place is in business!! I had never been here before, or to any Steak and Shake restaurant anywhere... and since this experience, I will definitely never be wasting my money here again. I felt like an idiot because I had to order my food for my kiosk because there was no person up front to even take orders from here. I mean, "None"... I did not know where to even pick up my food from. They acted like they didn't know what I was talking about after finally being noticed by an employee walking around in the back. She had to send someone else out to the counter to see what I needed when I just wanted to see where to pick up my order at. They've got like four counters. There's just so much more that I could just write all day but I just don't have time. The Dr Pepper was out of syrup, and you only get a limited amount of soda with your order. You have to scan a part of the receipt that they give you with a QR code on it to even get your drink yourself at the drink dispenser. And since it had ran out when I got mine I never even got a drink because no one would come up front. Everything was greasy. The shake was really good. I'll give them that one... after disposing of my trash and waiting to give the glass back I finally just ended up taking the glass with me because I didn't know what to do with it. There was no paper towels anywhere. There was no toilet paper in the bathrooms. There were no napkins in the dispensers. There was like two or three packets of seasoning or anything else in the small unstocked trays. An elderly woman spilled her drink and couldn't even get a refill because no one would pay attention to her and then had nothing to clean it up with. She looked highly frustrated with her husband and it was ridiculous that no one would even give her anything to clean it up with or acknowledge her existence for that matter. As it is right now this place needs to be closed down and retrain the employees about customer service and just service in general. This place is a disgrace to any fast food chain let alone its own franchised name. This is the longest review I've ever given and hopefully this is my last. But somebody's got to do something about this place. I would give negative Stars if...
Read moreI can't complain about the food. I usually get what I ordered. Food is usually fresh cooked and generous portions. I always use drive thru now as I refuse to go inside, use a kiosk to order and sit down to no servers. I go there about once a week though. I get my order and go somewhere to eat in my car. One item I order every time (Chili Mac) requires the use of a fork. In the past few months there have been numerous times I get my order and drive to the park or elsewhere, just to find out they neglected to throw in a fork. OK, mistakes happen. I was inconvenienced, but, it happens. But in the months since then, it's happened at least a half dozen more times. After the first couple times, I specifically told them to make sure there is a fork when at the window paying. When I did that, I got a fork. But then I stopped reminding them again, thinking it wouldn't happen anymore. Well, it did happen again the last time I went. So today, I specifically told them again. I was then told to pull forward and it would be brought out. I was the only car. Some guy who acted like he'd rather be somewhere else than there handed my bag to me and went back in. I open my bag to verify they packed it properly and guess what, no fork, no anything but the food. Aside from me specifically asking like I did do, common sense should tell you that you cannot eat a Chili Mac without a fork. Put a damn fork in the bag. Also, common sense, ie, napkins, crackers, parmesan. I had also requested catsup. How hard is it to do your job when you aren't busy at all? Well, I blame management. Good managers properly train. Good managers are watching for mistakes. Good managers will retrain those not doing there job properly. In this case, a manager met me at the window to take my money and hear my requests and acknowledged that he would make sure it's in the bag. FAIL! Start getting it right. First time or two is an accident, it happens. But after so many times, it's no longer an accident, it's just negligence. Please fix this. I shouldn't have to tell you every time. It's gotten beyond frustrating...
Read moreIf your expectations are super low, this is your place. This steak n shake is HORRIBLE!!! The bigger dark-haired lady with glasses, who wears all black, has the most CRAPPIEST attitude I've ever dealt with. I don't even know how she can even hold down a job talking to customers the way she does. Her tone was dismissive, as if she couldn't be bothered to provide me with the basic level of customer service that I expected and deserved. Get her some anger management classes, stat!! The place is always dirty, the food is trash and the customer service is ghetto and it's Morton ffs. They never acknowledge customers, make eye contact, or greet anyone to see why they are there. The only one busting his butt is the grill kid. Whomever the owner is, you should really, really retrain your people on some customer service skills and maybe get rid of that lady with the temper and all that attitude. Even the steak n shake in the hood an A+ compared to this store. Will not order here, Period! I understand that everyone has off nights and that customer service can be challenging at times. However, the level of rudeness and unprofessionalism was unacceptable. I hope that the management will address this issue and take steps to ensure that their employees are trained in providing the level of customer service that their...
