As a WSU student living in Pullman who sometimes struggles socially and values structure and kindness, I can’t say enough about my experience at The Garden Lounge in Moscow.

What really makes this place special isn’t just the cozy vibe or great drinks — it’s the people behind it. Barney Stinson and Courtney Crooks lead with a rare blend of professionalism, compassion, and genuine care. You can see it reflected in how the staff carry themselves: confident, welcoming, and always ready to help without making anyone feel rushed or out of place.

For someone who’s neurodivergent and sometimes finds new places overwhelming, the calm and supportive energy they create truly matters. It feels like the staff aren’t just following rules — they’re part of a team culture built on respect and empathy, thanks to Barney and Courtney’s leadership.

I was reading the reviews and they were all so similar I kinda thought they might be fake. However I have to admit I agree with all of them. My wife and I are from Seattle and here in Moscow with some friends for a short golf trip. My wife is a U of I alum and wanted to hit the corner club and the garden. The remodel they have done here is amazing and I told our friends it might be the coolest bar I’ve ever seen. I also agree that the bartenders are so welcoming, nice, and friendly. No doubt the best bar in Moscow. Comfortable seating, great staff, cheap drinks with a large selection of top shelf liquor. There is a huge cocktail menu if you don't know what you want or wish to try something new, but all the bartenders are pretty good with knowing the classics. Not a huge beer selection, but there are a few rotating premium tap selection in addition to the standards.

Very busy Fridays and Saturdays, but a nice place to hang out other days of the week.
