I've eaten here probably around 20-25 times. Food was always delicious. This was the spot I went to when I needed a great burger. Staff was always awesome And I loved what you guys do for the community for the passing along a free burger to someone in need. However, the last two times I have eaten here the burger was beyond well-done but somehow cold when I received it, the chicken nuggets were absolutely disgusting. I thought maybe it was just a fluke even that I could forgive because this was by far my favorite burger place in the area. So I decided to give it another chance, and it was worse than before. I actually threw the chicken nuggets away because they were so over cooked I wouldn't have fed them to a dog. The burger sat on the flat top way too long, then I watched as it sit on the counter before going to my tray for over 5 minutes. The result of these two events have made me unwilling to go there again unless there is a serious change. Which is unfortunate because I used to sing Humble Burgers praises to my friends and family and unfortunately one pregnant girlfriends utter disappointment later as well as mine, Ive stopped going here. Giving this place two stars 100% because of the nostalgia I feel for Humble Burger from back when it was on...
Read moreUpdate: I'm just not the target audience for this restaurant. I just want a good value for lunch and some lettuce and tomatoes. HB doesn't check any boxes for me. I'm upgrading to 4 stars because I know others dig what they are doing (and the owners and staff are very nice) and I don't want to punish just because it's not my jam.
I desperately want to love Humble Burger. Moscow needs a truly great burger place but this just isn't it. I don't mind eating here but I just can't say that I love it. The environment is very stylish and nice and the staff/ownership are very friendly and kind.
Critiques:
The burgers are a decent portion and the meat is fresh but unfortunately the meat is also flavorless. They depend entirely on the toppings for flavoring the sandwich.
There's too much bread. The buns are too dense and it makes it all very dry. It's hard to enjoy the sandwich.
Onions and pickles are the only toppings. If you're not an onions/pickles person, you're eating a plain cheeseburger.
The fries are fine, but inconsistent. I've had them cold or overdone too many times.
The prices are a bit too high. To get fries, burger and drink you are looking at $10+. That's a bit steep for not getting a truly...
Read moreI love this place! The burgers are reasonably priced and they source their ingredients from the local co-op. I've ran into the guys at the co-op, so I know it's true. I try to eat beef only once a week and this is what I end up choosing for that weekly beef meal 9 times out of 10. They make the burgers in front of you right after you order them (smash patty style) and their sauce is something I've literally had dreams about. They know it's good and have recently started selling their sauce by the jar. I can always count on friendly conversation with the employees anytime I go in there and good music. Also, if you frequent the establishment they make an effort to remember you although that doesn't change the service because it can't get any better than it is. For the people my age who will understand this, it's the closet you will ever come in life to eating a Krabby Patty. If you've never eaten here before you need to...
