Hardee’s — Restaurant in Mount Airy

So the last Hardee’s was terrible, I drove an hour toward home to this location in Mt Airy.

I needed to use the restroom, as I walked inside saw there were two employees standing outside, near the door.

The two bathroom stalls were occupied. As I was washing my hands saw another employee. She did wash her hands, thank goodness! The restroom was very clean.

Went to order and this location doesn’t have the two piece $5 fried chicken deal that my hometown has. That’s what I had been craving for the last two hours: the thigh and leg fried chicken! So I ordered the 5 piece tenders with fries. The teenager put it all in a to go bag. I explained, “I didn’t want it to go!” Whatever. I went and sat down.

The tenders were just ok, warm but not fresh. The fries were awful. Cold and not seasoned. There was no salt and pepper on any of the tables. There was one other customer eating inside, so it’s not like they couldn’t have made hot foot.

I ate two tenders and threw the rest away.

So from this location and the one in Wyethville, VA, I give Hardee’s an F+!

While the food was like most Hardee's, the food being very good. The trash cans were literally overflowing, evidently they were understaffed this morning. One of the customers in front of us complained something about their food. I take that as I would a grain of salt. People can be ridiculous, they will sometimes complain because they can. Why do I only rate 3 stars? I don't drink any soda of any kind, nor do I drink coffee. I got the largest glass and filled it with sweet tea... well, they called it sweet tea. There was no sugar in the tea at all. Not barely sweetened, not at all. I realize some fast foods do this as to save money on sugar. Though sugar isn't exactly cheap, we bought a small glass for $1.89, a medium for $1.99 and the large for I believe $2.19. I believe when these ridiculous prices are being charged for soft drinks and tea, they can actually sweeten the tea. We put this unsweetened tea into all the cups, but the urn ran out after only filling the small cup a third full. We told the staff the sweet tea was empty and no attempt in our 30 minutes there, was any attempt to replace the empty urn. I think a rating of 3 stars actually is a little high but I'm...

I placed an online order which told me would be available for pick up at 10:21. I was sitting in the drive thru which was not moving so at 10:25 I went inside. Not a single staff member acknowledged that I was there and waiting. I then had to get in the ridiculous long line to actually speak to someone. Which at that point they handed me my food because it had been sitting off to the side and not at the online order area. I waited well over 30 minutes for my food. Which was sitting off to the side. Now everything is cold and horrible. I ordered sausage frisco sandwhich, and got bacon instead. I then went back in again to get it fixed and ended up waiting another 5-10 minutes.
