My wife and I are third shifters so we have ate at a lot of Waffle house restaurants. We like to try the restaurants in every town we visit because it is usually decent food and it's usually in the middle of the night or early morning. I have always had a pleasant experience and never any issues at any of the other restaurants and have even ate at the one I was at this morning, but NEVER again. It all started when I ask if I could substitute grits for eggs on their sirloin breakfast plate. I am allergic to eggs so that's why I asked for grits instead and even told the waitress that I didn't care to pay extra for the grits if they couldn't substitute. They also informed me that the sirloin plate or platter or whatever it is called came with a double order of hash browns. I don't particularly love hash browns so I said that I would prefer just a single order. The original cost was $9.20. When we were almost finished the check was brought to us and when I looked at it I didn't understand why the price jumped to $9.50. I asked the waitress why and she tried to explain their reasoning. I disagreed, politely, and even apologized to the obviously new waitress for being a problem. The other experienced workers there kept sending this girl back to talk to me when one of them should have done it their self. Finally, after getting aggravated, I did say that I wasn't paying that amount because it was wrong and I was being ripped off. When I did go to the register to try and straighten this out and asked for the manager I was informed that the guy already at the register was the manager. Evidently no one has instilled manners and proper ways to handle disagreements because he was a total jerk. He informed me that by taking away the eggs and one order of hash browns that what I ordered was now a sirloin dinner and it was $.30 higher.....???? I pointed out what I ordered on a menu laying there and he then rudely flipped it over from the breakfast side to the dinner side and told me what my order had changed to. I was sort of shocked, confused and getting angry. I said it didn't make sense because I had saved their company money by not getting eggs and an order of hash browns so why do I have to pay extra for something that I am not getting. Him and his bad attitude stood their ground and after me saying that I would sit there all day before I paid extra for a plate with less food in it. I gave in after a minute or so because I was embarrassing my wife and I just needed to get away from this manager acting like a punk. He said that I would have to take it up with the corporate office and then rudely handed me the receipt for a signature. I did do a very childish thing and I regret doing it, but I signed the receipt.....bite me corporate, and then said rather loudly that I would never be back here and he loudly said back to me to not come back. I didn't intend to anyway. I wish this wouldn't have happened but the reasoning behind it all still confuses me. They lost a customer over a $.30 disagreement. I was working in a restaurant before this "manager" was ever born and have worked in many since then and have never seen stupid logic like this. My advice to anyone that may read this is to not substitute anything or try to reason with unreasonable logic..... Three dimes ain't much these days but principles should never change and I will think they were wrong to me from now on. BTW, sorry corporate office because you didn't do anything to me.....unless you trained...
Read moreThis was the first time, ever stopping at this location. And it was one of the worst experiences at a Waffle House. My friend ordered a unsweetened tea the waitress brought sweet. Okay no biggie. I had ordered the all star. The food was good. But the problem came in. When I never got my waffle and no refill on my coffee. The waitress was running her mouth with a couple the whole time ignoring her other customers. Finally I asked where is my waffle. She looked surprised. I called it out. Well you should have known I did not get it because you did bring it to me. So she goes a makes a waffle, as I sit wait for my waffle she goes back and starts talking ignoring her customers again. Then after about 10 minutes or so might been close to 15, she looked at me as I turned back to see where is my waffle. Then she runs over to the waffle maker and it’s burnt as black can get. She made another one. Then it was not completely done but I took it anyway. Still never got a second refill on my coffee. The as we was leaving all the employees was outside talking with people and she was hugged up to a guy like maybe boyfriend or husband. Don’t know don’t care. But waitressing is not her profession and most of the employees last night acted like it was a place to hangout and not actually work....

Discriminate, while pregnant 🤰 and less, do not let her eat her last cravings. I should have more empathy and more with the pregnant women that we are ourselves if it is a baby that we have inside and they cause us...
