I don't normally write reviews, but I felt obligated to do so this time.
For starters, I am not sure if the air conditioner was working or not, but it was very hot in there! Everyone (all 12 of us) ordered drinks, which, for the most part, went ok. However, my daughter and son-in-law each ordered a glass of wine. It finally came towards the end of our meal.
Our dinners came out very sporadically about every 5 minutes or more, and one or 2 people would receive their dinner. Then, 4 of our party members didn't receive carrots on their plates. So they had to ask for that.
1 person in the party couldn't eat any of her food, the chicken was very cold. So they deducted her meal from the check.
And then it was time for the checks... 3 out of 4 checks were messed up. And the ones who got the glass of wine each were charged with 2 glasses of wine plus 2 bottles! So they told the waitress what was wrong, she came back with the check and this time it was 2 glasses and 1 bottle of wine! Again, it is still not right. Eventually, everyone got their checks fixed.
I don't know if this was an off day for them or what. We even made reservations several days in advance. But I am sure we will...
Read moreWe went last night and waited quite a while to be seated. Once seated we waited 15 min before anyone acknowledged that we were there. In the meantime, I went to the restroom to find the paper towel roll sitting on the back of the commode with a long sheet of it hanging down the side with all of it touching the commode (see pic). We waited so long that we were getting up to leave when someone finally came over. As we were leaving I said something to the manager about the excessive amount of time it took to get service and she said, "Next time come earlier when it's not so busy," and called me ungrateful. There were 4 tables including our own two top during our visit. It was not the amount of business, it was the efficiency of the process. Furthermore, if you see your service declining during a busy time, get up off your stool and start helping. Calling a customer ungrateful is ridiculous. We are paying you for a service. Read moreI suggest going to Kazuko or any other Japanese place in the area. I really don’t think the customers matter that much. The menu doesn’t specify everything that comes with some of the entrees so when placing an order we didn’t tell them to leave certain things off being it never said that it came with it in the first place. So they made us completely reorder and repay for our order because of THEIR mistake for not putting on the menu that all the extra stuff came with our food. Apparently it was somehow our fault we didn’t magically know, especially for people who don’t eat Japanese super often to just somehow know, that it came with stuff that wasn’t said came on it.
