Plaza del Sol — Restaurant in Mount Airy

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Plaza del Sol, and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. From the moment I walked in, the service was prompt and attentive, making me feel welcomed and comfortable right away.

As a vegetarian, I was initially a bit skeptical when I glanced at the menu and didn't see a wide array of options available for me. However, the server quickly put my worries to rest. They were more than happy to accommodate my dietary needs and offered to modify a few dishes to suit my preferences. This level of flexibility and willingness to cater to individual needs was truly commendable.

When it came time to order, I decided to try the veggie fajita quesadilla and the spinach quesadilla. To say that both of these dishes exceeded my expectations would be an understatement. The flavors were incredibly vibrant, and the presentation was beautiful. However, the veggie fajita quesadilla stole the show. The combination of perfectly grilled vegetables, melted cheese, and the rich spices was simply outstanding. Each bite was bursting with deliciousness, leaving me wanting more.

Overall, I cannot express how satisfied I am with my dining experience at this restaurant. The prompt service, coupled with the willingness to modify dishes for vegetarians, made me feel valued as a customer. And the veggie fajita quesadilla, in particular, was a standout dish that I would highly recommend to anyone, regardless of their dietary preferences. This was our third and likely final visit. The food is pretty good... But not worth what we went through. (Also, the mint something margarita is...oof 🥴). We had two waitresses... Both of which were extremely rude. They ignored us multiple times, looking right at us as we were speaking and still walking away. One when laughed at my order and gave us a really hard time when trying to order a "plain hamburger," with they still got wrong and tried to pass it off; as they scraped cheese off the hamburger my little boy ordered (he just wasn't feeling tacos that night, lol). I wiped the remaining cheese off and he dealt with it and we didn't say anything. I waited to get my order and they charged double what I actually asked for would've cost, but she insisted I was ordering "confusingly because i was ordering separate things," and insisted she had a dish that would be less in cost. After being laughed at and argued with, I literally threw my hands up and said, "Sure! Fine! You just bring me whatever you think is best compared to what I just asked for, that'll be fine!" It was nothing like what I'd asked for lol, but I still dug in. It was bland and not even fully cooked. My husband and son enjoyed their food, though they mentioned two other Mexican restaurants here in town that they prefer to Plaza del Sol. We likely won't be back. Maybe we just caught them on a couple of off days... But I have to say, I've never really been made to feel that uncomfortable while trying to place an order at any type...

Me and my family went there for the first time we had to wait to be seated and then finally we were waited on to be seated the waitress took or orders for our drinks and then she come back and took are order for our food as we were eating she did ask my husband did he need a refill on his water and she refilled his water and then another gentleman come by and ask my son did he need a refill and he got to refill also own soda then another waitress come by again and ask my son again did he need a refill and he told her that somebody already is getting getting him one so as I was finished drinking my Coca-Cola I said they're eating the rest of my salad and and not at one time did anyone ask that I need a refill and then as we were getting the check to pay she asked my husband did he want a I drink to go and then turn to my son and ask my son the same thing and then act like I was not even there so I didn't get a refill on my drink I ordered a grilled chicken salad which was just like a regular grilled chicken salad it was good my son ordered a tacos with beans and rice he said that they were good my husband ordered also tacos and he said they were good as far as the food the food was really good as far as a service it was okay until it come to refill of the drinks and do you need anything they act like if they treated the gentleman better they would get a bigger tip but it don't...
