Bojangles — Restaurant in Mount Airy

This rating is based on the fact that I am still sitting in the drive thru after placing my order at 1:27 pm. It is now 1:40.....still no food. Make that 1:41.

I am editing to add that I did not get service at the window until 1:46.

19 minutes, Bojangles? Terrible, terrible customer service. New Visit Today May 16, 2021

Arrived at drive-thru line with 6 cars ahead of us at 12:40 pm.

Watched as multiple confused customers who read the large banner outside, "Dining Room Open!", park to eat in,, only to be greeted by a new sign at the door saying, Dining Room Closed, Drive-thru Open".

Placed order at 1:01 pm with 2 cars ahead of us.

Order 1 sausage biscuit 1 sausage & egg biscuit 1 small bo round 1 sweet tea

VERY UNPROFFESIONALLY REFEREED TO AS SWEET PEA AT THE PICK UP WINDOW.

Received and paid for order at drive-thru at 1:14.

The result?

After waiting 35 minutes for our food, we received over-cooked biscuits that were tough and chewy. The Bo Rounds were half cooked, white on the outside centers, and cold. No straw with the large sweet tea.

On my lunch break, i went to bojangles, after going to the window there was no answer, i waited several minutes before no response and was building up a line, so I pulled up to see what was going on. I found a car already at the window and had to wait atleast 5 more minutes before he left and I could pull up. She asked if I had so and so order and I said 'no' and before i could continue she threw her hands up "we get another one wrong?" I then explained to her that I never got an opportunity to order. She then said "what do you want then" while being frustrated. After I ordered i had to pull up and wait 10 more minutes. The gentleman behind me pulled up and asked if they got my order and then informed me that got his order wrong as well as the person in front of me. Apparently nobody had told him they did not have sausage on the menu and tried to give him something else instead. By the end of all this I was late on my lunch break and hadnt even ate. The food was good but does not excuse...

I love to go to my local Bojangles here in Mount Airy NC, on most visit, I usually order the same, 2-piece meal, ( thigh & leg, 2- sides), but I like the 2-thighs instead of the leg & thigh, so got my order, ( disappointed), my thoughts, if something cost you almost $ 9.00 to eat, in this case 2-piece chicken meal, w-2-sides, you would think that the meal would be worth the money you spend on it, this visit, BOTH pieces of chicken were the SMALLEST chicken I've ever seen, maybe one small, one big, but BOTH pieces were small as all get-out, what-a-joke of a meal. Maybe Bojangles needs to take the inflation into consideration & make sure their customers are getting an adequate amount of food that matches the amount of money that their being charged for the meal.. Not in this case. Gave a 3- star because of the size of the chicken, nothing else, food is always good, clean restaurant in side, friendly staff, good FDA food rating...
