Fink's Restaurant — Restaurant in Mount Horeb

This is a tiny greasy diner in the downtown area. Only one server for 10 tables. Another worker helped to carry food to tables and bus. This review takes into consideration the understaffing and wait time. Even with understaffing, server did try to check on us a couple of times.

I didn’t care to drink my water from cups that looked older than I am. Server didn’t want to make changes or substitutions to menu items. Food was just ok, unseasoned and greasy. Pancakes were huge. Requested eggs cooked over medium, they came out very runny.

Atmosphere got 1 star. I’d give it -10 stars if I could. The political paraphernalia made us feel very uncomfortable and especially glad we didn’t have other family members with who would feel vulnerable in this space. I have ordered a Hobo skillet made into an omelet SEVERAL times. In fact, every time I have ever eaten here I have ordered this. My husband just went into town and placed a to-go order- my usual Hobo skillet made into an omelet, but this time the waitress argued with him and told him they don't have that on their menu. She was extremely rude and refused to have it made into an omelet. He asked to sit down and waited for our food, was never offered coffee or water, and felt unwelcome. The younger waitress dropped the bag of food in front of him, never said a word. This review is about service, not food. The food is always amazing. The service, lately, especially today, very unacceptable. We love this restaurant, but we'll go elsewhere...

Went to this place twice on one trip it was so good. Had breakfast on the way past and it was packed, our food came very quickly even though all 10 tables were full. I got the Irishman's skillet which was basically a Ruben in omlet form. Another at the table got the "2 by 2 by 2" and most of the plate was covered by massive pancakes nearly an inch thick each.

Our second visit was rather late for lunch a few days later. I had the Honey Mustard Chicken Melt. It was delicious, and the fries were perfect, a thinner cut of steak fries.
