I usually enjoy going to Chipotle, but my most recent visit was beyond disappointing. I don’t usually write reviews, but I feel like people should be aware of the terrible service and quality of food I encountered.
Let’s start with the service. When I walked in, the line wasn’t too long, which I thought was a good sign. I was expecting a quick, efficient experience. However, as soon as I got to the counter, I was met with one of the rudest employees I’ve ever encountered at any restaurant. She was a blonde woman who looked like she had absolutely no interest in being there or helping customers. She barely made eye contact and seemed irritated that I was even ordering food.
I greeted her politely, but she didn’t respond. Instead, she just stared at me, waiting for my order. I started to tell her what I wanted, and she immediately cut me off, saying, “What was that?” in an annoyed tone. I repeated myself, and she sighed dramatically, as if I was inconveniencing her. I ordered a burrito bowl, which isn’t exactly complicated, but she acted like it was a massive burden.
When I asked for extra rice, she rolled her eyes and barely gave me any more than the original scoop. I then asked for double chicken, which I knew cost extra, but she acted like I was asking for free food. She gave me the smallest portion possible and then moved on before I could even say anything. I had to repeat that I was paying for double chicken, and she gave me another tiny portion, clearly annoyed.
It didn’t stop there. When I asked for mild salsa and sour cream, she basically slammed the spoon into the bowl, splattering some of it onto the counter. I was honestly shocked at how aggressively she was making my food. When I got to the cashier, she didn’t say a single word—no “hello,” no “your total is,” nothing. She just held out her hand for payment, like I was some kind of inconvenience to her day.
I tried to shake it off, thinking maybe she was just having a bad day. But then I sat down to eat, and things only got worse. My food was COLD. Not lukewarm—straight-up cold. The rice was hard like it had been sitting out too long, and the chicken was barely warm. The cheese wasn’t even slightly melted. It was as if my meal had been made hours ago and left out.
I decided to take it back and politely ask if they could warm it up or remake it. The blonde woman saw me walking back and immediately looked annoyed. I explained that my food was cold, and she just stared at me for a second before saying, “It’s fine,” in a dismissive tone. I told her it really wasn’t, and she just sighed again and asked, “So what do you want?” in the rudest way possible.
At this point, I was frustrated, but I stayed polite and asked if they could just heat it up or give me fresh food. She looked at her coworker, rolled her eyes, and then snatched the bowl from me. When she came back, the food was barely any warmer than before. It was clear they didn’t bother to actually fix the problem.
By then, I was over it. I sat down, tried to eat, but it just wasn’t enjoyable. Between the terrible service and the cold food, my experience was ruined. I’ve been to Chipotle many times, and I know this isn’t how it’s supposed to be.
I don’t expect five-star service at a fast-casual place, but basic courtesy and decent food temperature shouldn’t be too much to ask. I don’t know if this employee was just having a bad day or if she’s always this rude, but either way, she shouldn’t be working in customer service. And if Chipotle is serving food this cold, they need to seriously rethink their food prep.
I won’t be coming back to this location...
Read moreI arrived at 8:40. The restaurant closes at 11. They were out of guacamole. They. Were. Out. Of. Guacamole! The young man working the line had clearly alerted the manage to this fact earlier, but the manager was more interested in playing with his phone than keeping his line stocked. At first they were just saying, "we are out of it" but I couldn't understand how you could "run out" of a staple in your restaurant! He finally agreed to make more. He chopped the avocado and then disappeared. After 15 minutes he came back with empty bowls and the avocado was still sitting on the cutting board. Absolutely ridiculous. I left. This chain is one I frequent often. I will not be back to this one even though it is the one closest to my home. It was also quite dirty even though they haven't been open that long, and even though their was a long line of people waiting to order, several people waiting for online orders and people going through the drive through, there were only 2 employees working + the useless "manager". Yet there were 2 other employees on their break at the same time. The "manager" clearly has no idea how to run a business. Do not waste your time going here. Go to Chester or...
Read moreAvoid this location at all costs if you can. Order a kids meal, which includes three sides. It was a kids meal quesadilla. I wanted Carnitas with guac and white rice. They told me I have to pay extra for guac, even though this comes with three sides because they told me that “guacamole is a protein and I can’t have two proteins”. Someone here needs to get their nutritional education straight. Guac is NOT a protein. I then asked why I’m able to order black beans with guacamole and rice with no extra charge on a kids meal and they tell me that black beans have less protein than guac so it’s not counted as a protein. Come on. Again GUAC IS NOT PROTEIN. Not to mention when you go on the app, you can add the guac free of charge on a kids meal with no issue. On top of this, they forgot one of the drinks with the kids meal that was ordered, and the quesadilla was completely uncooked just straight cold cheese thrown in between a tortilla. Employees are so extremely rude and think they know everything. Someone needs to check their nutritional knowledge in here thinking guac...
