The food is solid, but the service is you paying to be disrespected. Went to longhorn on the 4th of July for my fathers birthday. I 22 years old forgot my ID and got denied a drink and was told the policy, no problem, but when my 62 year old mother orders the same drink. The older female server makes a strange grin and weird voice at my family waving her finger and saying "No No No, I'm on to you two" (which I found the strange voice she made, strange face, and accusation all extremely innapropriate) and DENIES her drink (as if theres not a limited drink menu to start) then immediately starts to lecture ME who didn't even order the drink. Mentions the policy and starts this long winded lecture. I have to tell her MULTIPLE times Im 22 I understand and dont want to hear it until I have to basically wave her off and she gets annoyed at me that she can't finish her lecture and says she'll talk to a manager about it. (no manager came and at this point a beer was already served to the table) Ends up sending us a nonchalant server with no clue that doesnt even say "Hi" or "Here's your food". (I guess the first server realized she wasn't getting a good tip after that and switched) Decided to take the food to go bc we didn't feel ANY hospitality the entire time. When leaving The female assistant manager was courtious and listened but when I was in the middle of FILING A COMPLAINT to her about the service a RANDOM tall male server comes up, interrupts and starts ARGUING with me unapologetically trying to TELL ME what happened (clearly biased, jumping to conclusions and arguing in bad faith) and arguing ghosts. He starts stating incorrect things which I correct but takes focus away from my complaint. I mention the first female servers disrespect and inapropriate actions and the guy says while interrupting me "That's your fault for not having ID". I literally tell him "so bc I forget my ID I deserve to be disrespected and lectured"? He says "well no, but..." and goes back to the alcohol and ID multiple times on repeat. It didnt matter what i said he circled back to my ID everytime I mentioned the inappropriate actions, the disrespect, the lack of follow up from any managers. Im met with "didn't she order the same drink". So what? As if there are more than a few cocktales with half of them being gimmicks. Claims its in the best interest of the company but somehow thinks accusing people, interrupting them, and arguing DURRING my complaint is somehow also in the best interest of the company. I'd understand if it was a bunch of young people trying to get drinks but it was just my 60 year old parents and I trying to have a nice dinner without being disrespected. Also no one introduces themselves. The tall guy was in server clothes and comes over arguing with no context or name, only pure incorrect bias. Overall the food's not bad but the service quality is comparable to an...
Read moreLonghorn in Mount Olive was one of our favorite places to go and I must say prior to it burning down, the food was always delicious and consistent. We loved it so much that I even had my daughter's high School graduation family dinner over there. But it appears now that after it got rebuilt it's not the longhorn that we remembered. I had some times when the food was not as good as it used to be but we continue to there. But after my experience today, I don't think I'll be seeing that place anymore. I ordered a ribeye and when it came on my plate, visually I could tell it didn't right. It was very thin without any marbling. Appearance was more like just a plain sirloin. When I cut into it and took a taste my thoughts on that were confirmed. I mentioned this to the waitress and said is this a ribeye and she said yes. I told her that I don't think this was the case so she got the manager. The manager came over and also confirmed that it was in fact a rib eye. I again mentioned that I was there not long ago and had a ribeye and it was nothing like this. She stood her ground and said that she could refund the stake if I wanted. Well we took the refund and I did not eat the rest of this since it was extremely disappointing. I doubt that I will ever be returning to longhorn again. One other other note, the waitress also had an attitude. It's not just my opinion but my daughter also mentioned...
Read moreWe arrived 10 minutes before close, and the waiter seemed to mind, for she had a monotone voice which we couldnt hear. I had asked for a Blazing Berry Sangría, to no receipt, because even though I am of age, the ID said "UNDER 21." The waiter continued our order without a comment, a while later, a manager comes and asks to see my ID for the waiter had not trusted it to be valid, which it didn't expire for another 4 months. He said he couldn't serve me the drink for his own "Safety." This waiter had no respect to even return or let me know she wasn't sure about the ID, which I foundnot only dishonest but disrespectful, and I don't understand how I could be 21 and be refused a drink. Anyway our drinks and food came, I got a water, and our order was disappointing. My wife received a Medium-rare steak, which she wanted only medium, and I got a plain sweet potatoe which I ordered to be "loaded." The service was horrible because the waiter's foul attitude towards us, she seemed as though I said multiple profanities to her, and threatened her life, for she either hates her job or just simply has a bad attitude. This business is one were communication is key and this waitress mumbled when she spoke couldn't hear her and seemed annoyed when we asked her to repeat herself. Well anyways, I left her with a awesome tip for her "awesome" attitude... " don't eat...
