So I came in today to get few things at Rita’s. My family and I don’t go to the one in Flanders very often. We wanted to get the guava passionfruit the one seen, only at the Flanders one. We told the young lady that we will be having quite a few things. We were originally gonna order one pint of Italian ice but the young lady told us about the deal with buy 2 and get one free. So my husband thought why not, since we were gonna order 6, that way we get two for free, but when she heard that we would have more then two her boss go involved. We thought she would be helping us. Yes, she did but with a nasty attitude and making comments about how we should have order ahead of time. We never had this problem when we usually order gallons and the pints when we walk in. She kept making comments like “oh you want more? You already have like a gallon but okay. We will give you more that you should have order ahead of it. You are at 4 pints you still want more? It is ice we can’t put it in a large.” I told her the app wouldn’t let me order ahead of time. She told me “ oh well it is because it won’t be available until next week.” I told her then how am I supposed to order ahead then? She said just call us. We didn’t know that we had to call now because we have always just walked in and just order with no issues or complaints about it. We only got our 5 pints because being there made my family and I felt uncomfortable. We didn’t know, we didn’t get our six pints until we left. Which would have been our second for free. When we go to the register we wanted to get a receipt for our stuff to see if we got the deal but they wanted us out already that they declined our option for the receipt. So we didn’t get our receipt I don’t even know that we got the first free one from the deal. We didn’t even get the second free one. We don’t plan on coming back even for the guava passionfruit. Read moreThe lady owner of ritas was very nasty towards my kids and racist towards me. When we got there she she seem like she didnt wanted to serve us. She was rushing me what do you want. I told her if they had the special the 3 quarts. Then she said which one you want with a nasty tone. I havent had the chance to check which flavors they had. I felted that she didnt want me there . But i ignored it because my kids were excited to get their ice treat. My youngest son jumped and touched the countertop, excited to get ice cream, and she started yelling at him. This is not your house, so you can do this. Then my other son asked for villana ice, and I told him they didn't have it. She sarcastically, with a nasty tone, said yes, we have it. The last time that he asked for vanilla ice, they gave him a villana ice cream, so I wanted to make sure bc his allergic. Then she started her sarcasm towards me yes we have it and laugh. So I decided to leave and she starts talking back at me and I told her can I get her name to report her and she refuse to give me her name and say im the owner and ask me for my name. Then she said that im having a bad day. I just walk away while she continues to rumble her mouth and we were outside and I still can hear her yelling at me. Owners like this lady shouldn't be allow to have a business nor be in the front of a store that children comes in. But the guy owner his more friendly and very nice person. Fast forward to today: I walk in, all hopeful, and there’s an elderly guy behind the counter. I smile, say “hello,” and what do I get? A blank stare, like I’m an alien from another planet. No greeting, no acknowledgment. Some of us know that look 🙅🏿♂️. Then, without a word, he turns around and starts fiddling with the screens like he’s plotting world domination or trying to figure out how to reboot Windows 95.
Turns out, this guy’s the owner. Honestly, if this is the show they put on for customers, I don’t even want to imagine what kind of horror movie is happening back in the kitchen.
