I went to Mt. Pleasant for the day to shop a little. My friend had heard good things about this restaurant and we needed to grab a quick lunch. We got there at 12:21pm on 2/4/24. It wasn’t packed when we got there. It was quite full when we left. We were sat and about 20 minutes later a young man came to take our drink order. Nice guy, but we think he was new. He was not sure if they had what I wanted. He asked the blond girl running around doing everything…literally everything. We got our drinks and chips and no one came back for a long time. We placed our order at 1:18pm. By this point we realized the nice blond was the only waitress for the entire place. We looked. She was it. She kept a smile on her face the whole time. She never slowed down. We were there almost 2 hours total. We were a little aggravated, but we knew it was not the fault of our waitress. She saved the day. Food was good. Took a really long time to get our food, but it was good. I had the salad with grilled Shrimp. The honey avocado vinaigrette was good. My friend has the quesadilla. She said it was good, but we were both starving by the time it arrived. I am leaving 5 stars because the young lady waiting on literally everyone deserves a raise. Whoever the manager is probably should have been helping her out or maybe he /she was the only person cooking in the back. There is definitely a huge staffing issue. If that was fixed I think we would have liked it more. We won’t visit again, but if that waitress ever gets to my hometown I would probably hire her. She is a great employee from what...

Our family of 20 visited North Charleston this weekend (Mid June, 2022) for a funeral. We called local restaurants for days trying to make reservations for a party our size. No one would take us, even though we said we didn't have to be seated together and that we would wait for as long as they needed to get us in at the same time. Turned away by two restaurants in person on Saturday night, we were told no one would take us unless we got further away from the water, and that chances are, even then, probably not.
That's when we called Juanita Greenberg's. Immediately, the gentleman who answered the phone said, "How many? We can take you! Come on over." They seated and served us together.
Not only were we met with the absolute best customer service (Jade, our server, was attentive, humorous, and patient) but the food came in HUGE portions, was insanely delicious, and delightfully inexpensive.
Juanita Greenberg's restaurant and staff did not only provide us with outstanding food and service, but they gave our family a welcoming atmosphere to visit and celebrate the life of a loved one.
If you eat here, you will...
Read moreI’m reviewing this place after the last probably 5 experiences. If i was basing it of off today it would be less than one. This is a glorified buffet style kitchen that slaps meats, beans, cheese, pico in whatever you order with some queso smothering it. The reason I’m leaving such a low score, and i know it’s hard to find good help but this is the last five times, is their service is actually terrible at the bar. I had the bartender walk up to me tonight and go to other customers that had just walked up and say oh he’s on his phone after sitting there without anyone acknowledging me after sitting there for 10 minutes. I literally laughed at the bartender and told him I had been sitting there waiting for someone and he spoke to other customers before me. This is a common theme. The food is ok, think like a worse Moe’s, but the service is awful. I’m still not going to crush them with a one star, because nobody needs that right now. But 5 times and bad service every time? This isn’t a one off experience. It’s every time. I left and got food somewhere else tonight because it was so disappointing. Just bad customer service all around with mediocre food...
