My sister and I ate at Naan at Mt. Pleasant today and we were their first customers for their inaugural opening. We were not disappointed! I only regret that I did not take photos of our truly delicious and authentic meal. We sat outside and it was a totally awesome day for that -- picture perfect weather in a lovely atmospheric outdoor seating area. We started with a masala dosa and it truly is a "must try." It's a south indian specialty, a very thin, long crepe-like dish that has potatoes inside (the potatoes being cut up pieces appropriately spiced). This was served with three different accompanying chutneys were also delicious. We both thought the masala dosa was very satisfying. We then had egg curry (because I like eggs and I also like egg curry), lamb biryani which is cut up small chunks of lamb in an aromatic rice concoction. And we had a basket of assorted fresh naan to go with it. I checked to make sure the naan was made fresh on sight and it was indeed. Of course it all turned out to be way too much food for the two of us and they thoughtfully provided to go boxes. Because it was their inaugural opening, they offered free desserts. We were full, but how could we say not to that? We ordered the gulab jamun and the rasmalai (one of my favorites), devouring both. We left quite stuffed but fully satisfied and with enough "to go" leftovers for another meal. Our server was very attentive. Their menu is extremely extensive and based on the food we ate today, I would judge it to be completely authentic. If you're worried about the spice level, they very carefully inquired about the type of spice level we wanted. I thought their price levels are a little on the high side, something I am willing to pay for if the food is exceptional and authentic, which I judge it to be. So in short, I am giving a shout out to Naan in Mt. Pleasant, a very convenient location right next to Whole Foods -- do your grocery shopping and have a lovely Indian meal. I was a little disappointed that they did not offer a lunch buffet. Our server said they are waiting to judge the demand for that. So please voice your opinion that you would like a lunch buffet! We were completely and delightfully satisfied today and for sure will be repeat customers. Bravo Naan in...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Hotel Naan in Mount Pleasant, and I must say, my experience was absolutely delightful, thanks to the outstanding service provided by Nikita. From the moment I arrived, she greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel truly welcome. Her attentiveness and professionalism stood out immediately—she ensured I was comfortable, patiently answered my questions about the menu, and made excellent recommendations.
The food was simply delicious, prepared to perfection with fresh ingredients and rich flavors that made every bite enjoyable. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, making the entire experience even more pleasant. But what truly made my visit special was Nikita’s exceptional service. She went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed, checking in at the right moments without being intrusive. It’s rare to find such dedicated and genuine hospitality, and Nikita exemplified it beautifully.
I left the restaurant feeling happy and satisfied, not just because of the great food, but because of the kindness and professionalism shown by Nikita. She truly made my visit memorable, and I will definitely be returning. A big thank you to her for making my dining experience so enjoyable! If you’re looking for a place with fantastic food and top-notch service, Hotel Naan in Mount Pleasant is the perfect...

The food was nothing great--a little less than average--but the service makes this review a one star. Zero if possible. As you will see in other reviews, the service is terrible, which is what we experienced.
I ordered two pretty simple dishes (vindaloo and shahi paneer). The vindaloo was the most mild tomato sauce I've ever had, but was decent. However the shahi paneer came out extremely sweet and cream heavy to the point where me and my partner could not eat it. When we brought our concern to our hostess, she did not apologize or offer any sort of solution but instead explained to me what the dish was even though I am Indian and have eaten it countless times (which was communicated).
On top of this, we then had to flag down a different server to pay our bill as the hostess proceeded to ignore us. The server who took our bill attempted to get that same hostess to correct the mistake, but she shot him a look and walked away. We ended up paying for a meal that we could not completely eat. That one hostess is the reason I would never go back to this restaurant and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. She was rude, inhospitable, and...
