Pelican's SnoBalls Mt Pleasant — Restaurant in Mount Pleasant

So at about 730pm it hit me that I really wanted a shaved ice. After spending years living in New Orleans I have a very particular and high standard of what that means. To my most wonderful surprise after doing a quick google search I found there was a Pelicans in Mt Pleasant! Yes that's 30min away from where I live but again not all snowball places are created equal. I need over 100 flavor options to revel in the joy of confusion about what flavors to choose. Not knowing what to get and creating insane mixes that somehow work together is part of the fun. The young guy working was extremely knowledgeable and helpful offering all sorts of different ways to choose are flavors and great explanations of the possible add ins. From spinning a wheel, picking a number between 1-100 or the cover your eyes and point method it was all in good fun. Our drinks came out just as I remembered them from my childhood and exactly what I hoped for. Can't wait to go back when the craving...

I work at a school and recently scheduled the Pelican’s Snoballs truck as a special reward for a student incentive. This is the third time I’ve worked with Pelican’s. It was such an easy process. Communication was great, and the guys who were serving the treats, Will (owner) and Blaine, seemed genuinely pumped to serve the kids. Seriously, they could not be nicer and happier. They even brought along rubber bracelets and some Pelican’s bucks/coins so special students could return to the store later. The kids were so excited and loved every drop of the snowballs, and I loved that I had very little to do in preparation other than communicate and write a check. So many good things to say about this place! The staff is mostly high school kids who make work look like fun, and always have good recommendations. The owner is the best part about the place! He seems to know or make a connection with everyone who walks in the door! This is an awesome stop on the way home from the beach or for a treat after dinner.
