Dari Delite — Restaurant in Mount Vernon

I used to enjoy coming here. I ordered the same thing every time but they have new owners New Management new employees and I don't like them. I went yesterday and they didn't even check my food to make sure it was right. I checked the bag. They gave it to me all wide open and after all that time I had been waiting there, they still hadn't put in the fried mushrooms. I had to come back. when I asked them about it they quickly were trying to fix it but they gave me raw frozen fried mushroom mushrooms that were not cooked through and were raw. I've bit into them and it was ice cold Raw. this is never happened before. also I ordered the strawberry Blackberry shake and it was really just vanilla ice cream without anything else. And it had a meat taste to it as if the machine hadnt been cleaned. this has never happened before . I got sick after eating this food . I don't know if it's from the shake not being clean, the veggie burger or from the frozen uncooked raw mushrooms that they served. I order the same thing when I come here so i know what its supposed to be like and this isn't it. the new woman at the front charges me a different price every time. She doesn't seem to know how to read write or do math to work the front register. I d9nt understand how they are running the shop if you cant read write and count. And I assume the man who ive never seen before is her husband. he doesn't know how to make shakes or fry deep fried mushrooms. I don't understand how you could mess anything up when it's just putting them in hot grease and letting them cook. How do you not know how to do that??? You can see that they weren't golden brown and it wasnt hot. Yet they still gave it to me and charged me. It's a shame that they're letting a local gem like this go downhill so quickly. Before the ownership change I felt like this was the best place in the entire town to eat because it was unpretentious quality seasoned hot delicious consistent food and now it is not. I won't be going back anymore I don't like biting into raw ice cold food after ordering it in advance over the phone and then still having to wait in line to pick it up and then coming back and it's still not being right. I live in Bellingham and so I cannot come back just for this. so I lost the money and it ruined my entire dinner and experience and I am sick from eating this. It was a waste of time money and everything for this. I don't see how they can stay...

This USED to be a Favorite of mine. They are either under new ownership for a month or two or they had a complete turnover in all their employees. I have been there twice in the last 2 weeks. And both times their deficiencies are glaringly obvious.

First stop When my order was ready they called my "number" once but not very loud and I asked which number was called and recieved no response (one customer told me they thought it might be mine) but the line of people placing orders was long and I was ignored. Five minutes later i watched as they walked back to the heat lamp grabbed my food and called the number again. I ordered 2 bulldogs and a ranch burger with fries. The top buns all 3 burgers were just slightly short of burnt toast black. Which greatly affected the flavor.

The second stop I ordered 2 milkshakes (one black raspberry and one blueberry).The counter lady was mentally somewhere else. (At least that was the excuse she offered) After I ordered and paid. She had to ask me again what I ordered. I repeated my request and she relayed it to the young man making the shakes WRONG!! (One blackberry and one raspberry) I heard this and attempted to correct her. After trying to explain twice that black raspberry was a flavor they offered she seemed to understand and confirmed to me that she didnt as she told me she would not charge for the extra flavor.

Three minutes later I was presented with one blackberry and one raspberry shake. My voice betraying my frustration I explained what I actually had ordered again. Wanting them to acknowledge they understood what I actually wanted. I was told to calm down and give them a chance to make it right. I replied something quite rude (not my best moment). I waited a couple of minutes and ended up walking away because 2 milkshakes are not worth me losing my temper. It will be the last $12.00 I spend there, and money well spent...

BEST Burger place around. Basically Dicks of Skagit County but with way more options on the menu and the fries are enough to feed two people. Prices are unbeatable, we feed a staff of 4-6 people on any given day for under 55 dollars. Our last order was placed for 6 people and they had it ready to go within 10 minutes, all boxed up with love by (im assuming) the owner. I feel bad because I don't remember her name but she ALWAYS remembers mine. If I place an order with anyone else and there's anything wrong she will correct it before it gets to the window because she remembers our orders most of the time. You can pay an arm and a leg to dine in somewhere fancy for lunch or you can save your wallet the pain and suffering and get way better customer service and a quick order from this place. My entire family loves this place and we will continue to come back regularly as long as they are open for business.
