If i could give negative stars, I would... I recently visited your establishment when myself and 4 kids in tow went to the street fair. Parking is limited, which it always has been (thank goodness for the garage going in), we circled many many blocks until we came across a parking spot in the Red Apple/Bank of America lot. I decided to park there since, at the time of arrival, there was no sign saying there was no street fair parking, and it's worth mentioning that both lots at red apple/bank of America were packed. This along with the fact that I've lived in the valley and have parked here during the street fair for every year of my 35 years of life. Red apple has always been a community store. Actually, all of down town MV is, especially during the streetfair. All of the downtown companies give up their store front parking for the 3 day long festival, specifically because it brings tourism to our town. After a GREAT day at the streetfair, we went back to our car to see it had been towed. When I went in to talk to a Red Apple Manager about this (which btw, other then the owners son, everyone was very sweet and empathetic) I was met with so much disgust and attitude. I had asked to speak to the man that had my car towed. They said he wasn't there and I could speak to the manager (later finding out from the very nice tow truck driver, it is the new owner's son). I explained to this man what I had stated above and most concerningly, how am I supposed to get myself and 4 kids to burlington to pick up our car. I was met with a "so" from this man. Rather then any sympathy or understanding. He informed me that there were signs. There were not. There certainly were signs when we got back, but not when we first parked there. Besides the point, I understand you are an establishment and needed to do what you needed to do (I suppose). But to be treated like I wasn't a human is not ok. I did not yell at your manager until he decided to speak over me when I was trying to talking to him about our community and that this stands for everything MV is against. I also think it's worth mentioning that when I got back and my car was gone, the parking lot was still half full. I'm sorry but the 5 customers you had in your store at the time of me speaking sternly to your manager (my kids said I used my mom voice), do not add up to the vehicles there. So why my car? The incredible kind tow truck driver at Peter's towing also mentioned you towed 6 other cars that day. You my friend are everything we don't want in MV and our community. You should be ashamed of how you targeted locals. BTW, I had every intention of coming in to grocery shop after our day at the street fair, because that was only fair. I will now, never step foot in your establishment until there are new owners. And I will do everything in my power to make sure people understand what kind of business you are. But seeing it's always dead in your store, I'm guessing people are already getting the memo. Good luck responding back...
Read moreToday was the fifth time this place has ripped me off. I went in at 7:15 to buy a fried chicken 8 piece. When I get home I got five wings two breasts and a thigh. I like the dark meat. And it cost $9.99. I could have went to Safeway and had an actual chicken for $7.00 and got what I wanted. There is nothing on the shelves. And if you do find something you want, it is extremely overpriced! I don't know how this place is still in business. The produce is bad and moldy. The deli is mediocre at best. The only things they have are chips and beer. Might as well be a liquor store. And even then are way overpriced. Like I said this is the fifth time I've been there and I've had stuff bad by the time I come home. I literally live less than a minute away. Maybe that's why I kept going there. My fault never again. Promise. I'd rather pay more for quality food. Actually I'd rather pay more for real food. The stuff you expect from a grocery store this place is a joke. Oh yeah and don't forget to check the expiration dates on everything there. Multiple times I found things that were 2 months expired. If you don't believe me you can check for yourself. If I'm not mistaken that's a food safety hazard! And those items are charged at a premium above full price. Look, I'm not just saying this. Please check for yourself. If I'm wrong write a good review. If I'm...
