EDIT, 2020: Whoever is in charge now definitely knows what they're doing. The pizza is always cooked to perfection, no more raw insides with burnt outsides. Haven't had any need to complain or request customer service. Dominos is once again worthy competition against Pizza Hut in my heart and stomach.
ORIGINAL, 2017: We have ordered from the Mount Vernon Dominos about 10 times since moving here in September. Out of those 10 times, only 1 order has been made correctly. Out of the 4 most recent times, we ordered pizza 3 times, and just now a sandwich and two pasta bowls, with stuffed cheesy bread. The pizzas had raw dough on the inside, but were burnt black on the outside. We were given complimentary brownies twice as "apology", but both times they were also half raw. Tonight, we decided to order something other than pizza, in case that was the problem. Since neither of us can handle the power of hot peppers, but wanted bacon, we got the bacon and jalapenos stuffed cheesy breadsticks, and made sure to put the peppers to "none". When we got the food, we pulled apart the breadsticks to ensure we each had half, and it was FILLED with jalapeno peppers. Each time we call in to complain, we're told "Sorry, new staff". We feel like this is a flimsy excuse to avoid responsibility for their mistakes and lack of quality control. We know this is not a problem with the company as a whole, as the Dominos in Marysville has never given us such problems. Slightly greasy pizza, maybe, but that beats this...

Second, she marked our order "delivered" which prompted me to call into the store to only find the person I was speaking with was Jessica. She then started to explain why the delivery driver couldn't find my location in a 3rd person. Finally, we agreed that the order was to be remade and delivered. Once the order got to my house, it was discovered that half of the order was missing(pizza, parmesan bread bites, 2 liter of soda and all the dipping sauces). Need I say more?
(2018)I have tried many times to give this store a "second chance". I would say I might have gotten 2 orders(over 3+ years) that were crooked right and accurate. I am not spending one more cent willing at this store.
-The pan pizza was under cooked. The dough still had a doughy taste to it and the cheese was not fully melted even after checking the "well done" box. -The parmesan bites were LOADED in garlic so much so that when I tipped the bag over my plate, I received a waterfall of it. -I wasn't impressed with the regular pizza either, since it too, had cheese that wasn't completely melted, although the dough was cooked, just barely. -I didn't try the cinna stix after everything else to save myself from further disappointment.
These results maybe yielded from having a quality control process that is controlled by the same person...
Read moreDomino’s Mount Vernon, you had one job: cut the pizza. Instead, you delivered a masterclass in modern art.
We ordered three large pizzas. One was supposed to be square-cut for the kids. Instead, we got:
Pizza #1: Half of it was cut in two giant slabs, and the other half in three prehistoric dinosaur-sized slices. Whoever cut this was either stoned, inspired by Picasso, or both.
Pizza #2: Looked like a blindfolded ninja gave it a shot. Six massive slices that could’ve been used as canoe paddles.
Pizza #3: No words. Just chaos. I’m convinced the cutter sneezed mid-slice, shrugged, and said, “Good enough.”
The staff was fun and welcoming, and the pizza itself? Delicious. But the slicing had our whole family crying with laughter. Honestly, I’m not even mad… this was dinner and a comedy show rolled into one.
So yes, Mount Vernon Domino’s, the pizza was perfect. But next time, I’ll just ask for “uncut” and bring my own scissors, because clearly your slicer is living his best...
