I came in to hawk off a new Millwakee Reciprocating Saw and my buddy right before me sold his new De-Walt reciprocating saw and they gave him $40 for it and I understand that they typically give you 25% of the worth of an item and I was at first offered $20 for mine and I said, " woah this saw is worth over $200, and its unused" I was trying to get at least $50 for it and I told them I had rent to be pall and it was the final notice and I had received the saw as a holiday gift and I was hoping they could work with me and the attendant replied let me see what I can do and he went back to the terminal and re-entered information and as I've seen similar saws for up to $100-$150 cheaper and he came back to me with an offer and said " I can do you for $60" and I was delighted as that was $10 more than my asking price and $40 more than his original offer and he put it on loan so I could get it back out and we concluded business and both of us were satisfied and I can even get it out of pawn and keep it in the family. They took my needs into consideration and didn't try to rip me off, they were honest and upfront and not money hungry as to take advantage of the situation and use a desperate man " when I would have had to take whatever the price was that they threw at me and just accept it whether I liked it or not anyways" and they seriously took me and my needs into consideration and worked with me. I really appreciated them that day " even though they always only give 25% of the value of an object or item" and wish more places were willing to work with you and take your situations into consideration and have heart like Cash America Pawn & their employees that day, God bless them for they really helped and if they are like that every time their services are well worth the time and effort put forth. I recommend them to everyone and please try to give a good attitude for it goes a long way as they had excellent manners and a great attitude as well as I. Thank you all for your help and the flexibility you showed in giving me leeway on the exchange rate. You were all fantastic and I felt appreciated not used and like I was not being taken advantage of....
Read moreThis used to be a great place to get great deals, but since Joan left, its horrible. What 'Im guessing is a manager constantly walks around not helping anyone but trying to find someone to help you purchase a product, but she wont do it herself. Duhhh, you watch 4 of us walk out for waiting 10 minutes while you complain how no ones there to help us.
The staff are all incompetent except Steve. hes the only one left from what I can see. The little tiny ladies behind the counter clearly hate their job as they stand around looking and talking to employees while a line out the door is waiting for help. I even caught 1 gal sleeping with her head down on the counter. She looked startled when I just walked up to the counter. "Ya, its your job, might want to stay awake"
Prices are hella high now, they don't give but 10% of value on buys, and charge us 90% of market value so they have 80% profit. Stick with the smaller local shops, at least there's customer...
