Panda Express — Restaurant in Mount Vernon

I went there a couple weeks ago at 7:15pm and the drive through woman told me I could only order certain things because they are “trying to cut down on food waste and they were about to close”. …but they close at 9pm??!! I brushed it off whatever I just figured the workers wanted to go home early.

My sister went there tonight at 8pm and was told the same thing!! She was ordering for our family so she wanted 6 crab Rangoon but was told they could only give her 3 because “they shut that part of the kitchen down already and couldn’t make any more.” What?? You can’t throw in three more? So I guess they tell everyone this? Seems to me they just want to close their kitchen early than “not waste food”. If I showed up hungry at 8:50, what could we get?? Fortune cookies?? Lol That’s terrible for customer...

I have eaten Panda Express for 6 years. This being said, I know what the orange chicken is supposed to taste like. It was ridiculously spicy and I was not the only customer complaining about this. The manager (I assume) refused to refund my original plate even after I bought a new one because i ate two bites of the original plate. She acted like I was trying to get free food out of the deal when I already purchased a new plate, spending a total of $27 on two bowls. I have never had issues with any of the other Panda franchises until visiting this one. A bad experience and bad choice of restaurant on my part. This was today, December 8, around 12:30pm. I hope another manager gets to see this review to properly train the rude employee I delt with so no one else has...

At this point I would give it no stars if I could. How the heck do you translate 2 chicken and mushrooms with white rice into thinking you can put all that in one Styrofoam container...not tell the customer so all the sauce goes everywhere in your car when you pick it up and not even think to ask....um. do you need 2 containers? Not the first time they've screwed up my order but this time the sides were coated in the main meal sauce and basically useless. Seriously...i was in line 10 minutes and no one could ask how I wanted it. And called during business hours to discuss the issue and got an answering machine? Total BS. It's amazing you stay in business. All I know is....Im done...no more. Seriously would rate this experience 0...
