Taco Bell — Restaurant in Mount Vernon

When I ordered food or asked a question the clerk didn’t respond and I had to repeat myself multiple times for them to respond back to me, as if they were annoyed. When I pulled up to the window the clerk didn’t say anything just handed me my drink and took my card, there was no customer service once so ever. Then I sat there for nearly 10 minutes waiting for my food with no one before or after us. Then when I received my food, the meat cheese and lettuce of our chalupa was mostly poured out all over our bag, sauce packets and napkins. The crunchy tacos were all completely broken and their contents were also spilled all over the wrappers. The Crunchwrap tortilla and hard taco inside were both stale and the entirety was dry like it had been in the warmer for hours. The cheesy Gordita crunch had nearly nothing between the 2 shells and the outer shell was chewy and seemed nearly uncooked at all. This was absolutely the worst experience I have EVER had at any Taco Bell in the country, and I am active military so I do a lot of traveling for my job. As much as I wish I could make this a friendlier review I just can't. We will start with the good.

Pro's - There are a select few workers there who are friendly, fast and efficient, particular in the morning crew. It's a hit or miss when you get those employees but when you do your food will be delicious and your experience pleasant.

Con's - Right off the bat the biggest concern has to be staff. While I mentioned there was decent staff for the most part the crew is lacking some major skills when it comes to working. Example, I once waited 30 minutes at the speaker for them to never take my order. They told me one second and never came back, I tried speaking but no response. I ended up leaving as they have competition with steak n shake and Hardee's, both 24 hours and both I would recommend over this place. The food comes out right some of the time and occasionally you will see nice faces but for the most part take your business elsewhere unless you have a lot of time and patience on your side.

Driving for hours and hungry. Looked up the Taco Bell near where I was at and saw I still had time to order. I get there 30minites prior to closing and workers were outside smoking which don’t mind that. I pulled up to the drive thru and waited. They turned off the light to the menu without saying a word. I pulled up to the window and they proceeded to run away from the window and turn off the interior light. I checked the time again to verify the hours. I sat for a minute to watch them peak at the window and then hide again. I the. Looked to see if there was anything else around. Ended up two doors down at Hardee’s. They announced it happens all the time but it is ok with them because they get all the business. May not sound like a lot but I spent $47 for the family and who knows what the two cars that followed me over spent. I feel terrible...
