I placed an order online for the Mt. Vernon, Il location at 6:00 this evening. The total of the order was $27.21. After waiting 20 minutes, my daughter went to pick it up. When she arrived only half of the order was prepared. So, she had to wait another 20 minutes for them to prepare the rest. Instead of preparing the whole order, they left the half they had already prepared sit under a heat lamp for another 20 minutes. Nobody offered to remake the it or even offered any kind of apology. Needless to say, the breadsticks and cinamon sticks tasted horrible. Even the marinara sauce tasted bad. And to top it off, there was a hair in my pizza. I was sick to my stomach. I called the resturant to complain and the guy that answered the phone said are you sure it was us because I have been here and we havent had a problem all night. So, he more or less called me a liar. When I told him the problem he put me on hold and when he came back offered to put a $10 credit on the phone number that placed the order. When I told him I wanted abrefund he asked me what color the hair was and if I still had it and he would replace the order. No thank you. Read moreWe had a great experience as far as the food and service go; on these alone, I would have given 5 stars. Our pizza and breadsticks came out hot, fresh, and tasty. Our server was super nice, friendly, attentive, and timely. What stopped my fifth star, and frankly, it should be lower, falls on management and/ or ownership. There were no prices on the menus. I asked the server, who said replacements should be coming, and she could let us know anything we'd like prices on. I think this actually made me order less, just not being able to calculate what we were ordering as I was looking. The last and most important transgression was the unmistakable smell of sewer gas in the ladies' restroom. I made half a step inside before the smell hit me. I caught a glimpse of one toilet with the tank lid off and unusable, took a wife, and immediately stepped back out, deciding we would rather chance a stop at a gas station bathroom on the way to the interstate on the way home, before I would subject myself and my child to that. I cannot imagine being an employee who has no other option but to use it during a shift there. After thinking about it, I recall a faint odor or gas the last time we were there months ago, so this falls in the neglect category, and not just a new problem that has yet to be addressed. Read moreThis is my experience tonight. It is 8 degrees outside, I order 2 pizza's, bread sticks and wings. $30.00 with a $3.00 tip. Chick hands me three boxes, asks me if I want my change, which creates her $3.00 tip, and I head home. When I get home, I open the boxes, no wings. I called them back and of course the wings are there. The guy says when are you coming for them, I said I am not coming all the way back out there, so he said, no prob. we will just credit your account. I said I don't have an account, he said that was okay just the next time I come there I will have free wings. I said I don't come there but once every 3 or 4 months, e said well, when you do you will have free wings. I thanked him for nothing and hung up. After fuming for a few minutes I decided they could deliver them. Called back, manager said couldn't deliver them because it was a take out order.After pointing out that I tipped his associate for not checking my order and that I wanted them delivered, he asked my address and said, wellll I will send them out this time but it is against our policy and that if I had lived any further away they wouldn't do it.
