Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams — Restaurant in Mountain Brook

First, the server refused to give me, a pregnant woman who was very hot with the recent weather, TAP water. I would have bought water but they didn't have that which is why I asked for tap. Then the server served us extremely teeny, tiny "half scoops", nothing like what I see in pictures in other reviews. Considering the price, and the fact that we've been here before and know what the scoops are normally like, not pleased. Then she refused to add more ice cream (for more price of course) because she "already served" us. Even though it had a lid and we hadn't even touched the bowl yet. The experience would have been much better if server fixed her extra tiny scoops and tried to make the situation better instead of brushing us off. And not hoarding water from a pregnant...

We stopped by this Jeni’s location on a Friday night and the line was LONG. Despite that, the two employees were, admirably, able to get through everyone in a very timely manner. The ice cream was amazing as always. Super cute decor inside!

Ooey Gooey Butter Cake: 10/10 The best Jeni’s flavor!

Bastani Sonnati: 6/10 A very unique, seasonal flavor featuring saffron, rose, and pistachio. The ice cream itself was pretty good, but the pistachio left a bit of a strange aftertaste that really ruined it. Would not get this again.

Parking: This strip mall has its own lot with ample parking. There are plenty of stores and great restaurants...

Highly recommend Jeni's! I actually went to the one in Nashville when I was a child and remember getting a purple ice cream that had lavender in it. Imagine my surprise when, 10+ years later, I walk into this location and see Wildberry Lavender on the menu! I'll try other flavors (all delicious) but WL is my go-to at Jeni's! While I do really enjoy the flavor, it's really all about that beautiful purple color (my favorite)! They have a fun atmosphere, always kind staff, and the best ice cream this side of the Mississippi (probably, maybe?). Though, Big Spoon Creamery does give them a run for...
