I’m honestly still shaking from our experience. My husband and I visited Creamery Ice Cream today because we’ve enjoyed it before—the location is convenient, and the ice cream is great. We ordered three different flavors, and I asked for a cup for the cashier that nicely responded yes. Instinctively, I reached for one.
Then, from the front side inside the creamery, a young male employee approached and, in a rude and unprofessional tone, said: “Hey, next time don’t get it—ask for it.” There was no kindness or courtesy in his voice. If he had said it politely, I would have understood and respected the policy. I even turned to my husband to ask if it sounded rude, and he confirmed it did.
To be fair, the cashier handled it well and kindly said, “Oh, I was about to mention it, but you were faster,” showing that it could have easily been communicated with basic manners.
Still in shock, I told the young man I didn’t see any signs about not taking a cup. Trying to remain polite, I apologized. His response? “Next time I’ll make sure to be even more rude.” I was embarrassed, especially with everyone around us watching. That kind of behavior is completely unacceptable.
I truly hate to give one-star reviews—I understand how much it can impact a business. But the owners need to make sure this never happens to anyone else again. Respect goes both ways, and if someone is that unhappy working there, they should not take it out on customers. Whether this young man is an employee or hopes to be an entrepreneur someday, he must learn that professionalism and respect are not optional.
We came in happy, ready for a treat, and left disappointed and...
Read moreDear God in ice cream heaven, hallowed be thy entire case of chocolate. I'm so glad we stumbled into this place on a Saturday evening. And even glader we seemed to beat the massive rush.
For a small little place with a few tables, they have a massive amount of ice cream. And even one case full of different forms of chocolate ice creams! I girl can get used to a place like this. The scoops are huge! I recommend a cup if you get 2 scoops unless you're super human and can eat ice cream super fast before it all melts. I couldn't even finish both my scoops! The blue cookie dough ice cream was spectacular and totally worth having a blue tongue the rest of the night. The father in law enjoyed the pumpkin and the hubby raved about the moose tracks. I don't think there was as single bad ice cream flavor to be found!
It's decently priced, under $5 for 2 giant scoops and they had some non ice cream accoutrements as well. There are a few tables to eat at inside as well as benches on the street outside. The staff was awesome as we took our time to browse the 50+ different flavors and offered us samples if we so wanted. I think this might be a stop every time we're...
Read moreThe ice cream here was absolutely delicious and very creamy! I'm always on the hunt for the best ice cream, and this is definitely up near the top of my list. They win as far as flavor variety goes—the chocolate lovers of the world will certainly be happy here. There were so many chocolate variants it was nearly impossible to choose. (There were plenty of other non-chocolatey flavors as well!)
My husband got the German chocolate and the butter scotch bomb, and I went for the double chocolate chip and the midnight chocolate. We sampled a few other flavors, all were delicious. Although we each only got two scoops, the scoop sizes were very generous, so it was easily worth the price.
The homemade waffle cones were fresh and tasty, one of the best we've had. They were decently thick and didn't fall apart easily, yet not so thick or too hard that they were difficult to eat; they were just right.
Service was quick even when it was busy, and the employees were friendly and helpful with recommendations/samples.
We are just passing through on a road trip, but if/when we visit this area again, we'll definitely be...
