Maro — Restaurant in Mountain Brook

Got there at 2:25 pm it had a closing time of 3pm on google, door was locked (it was raining so that was reason potentially to close early?) they did end up letting us in to serve us which was good. However, I was met with a small bit of attitude explaining to me that they could close when they wanted when I declared we came because google said it was open till 3 pm asking if we could still eat. Personally I believe places should stay open if they say they are open and the rain was only there briefly.

They did serve us and my GF said the food was 5 stars.

It’s not worth punishing a good small business in this algo internet driven world so it’ll stay 5 stars. It’s not worth pissing off your customer over such a small comment imo, especially when they went through rain just to give you money.

I want y’all to look at this picture before you decide to order any food from this restaurant, especially to go. Common sense would tell you if somebody is getting curry to go. You will put rice on the side and the sauce separately. But no, I get home and the entire sauce is soaked into the rice and it’s gummy and not edible. It’s really hard to find places here that just use common sense. Also tried the dumplings and they weren’t good at all. Won’t be coming back to this place. Honestly, I should’ve known something was that when I ordered my food and it was ready in less than three minutes? Like, how...

Great food and incredible service! The manager, Sunny, was so welcoming from the moment we stepped into the restaurant. I had no idea what I wanted as I have never tried poke before. Sunny was so helpful and did not make me feel rushed at all. He made sure to check in on us even after we got our food to ensure we were enjoying it. Truly the best customer service I’ve received in a very long time! I will definitely be coming back for the food and to visit Sunny again. This place is going on my recommendation list for...
