We've been meaning to try this place for many moons now, but somehow always thought of it at night - and since they are a breakfast and lunch place - that did not work out. Then, COVID hit. Finally, we managed to find a weekend morning and got to try it out. We are glad we did!

We were there early on a Saturday morning, so decided to go for items from the breakfast menu. Looking over the brunch menu, there were many items that appealed to us there as well, but, well, breakfast called our name. The place was mostly empty and we were sat down immediately and offered coffee while we perused the menu. All the standard breakfast offerings are available, and there are some more unique items as well. We decided to try a Veggie Omelet as a "standard" item, but also the Salmon Scramble, as a more unique item.

The wait for the food was not excessive. When it was delivered, we dove into it and were very happy with the presentation and the flavors. The dill aioli on the Salmon was superb! The Veggie Omelet had large chunks of vegetables (If I wanted to nit-pick, they were maybe a tad too large?) and the accompanying home fries and toast were great. We tried their wheat toast since we like those kinds of bread and this was an eight grain version which we really enjoyed. Rounding out the meal was a side of bacon which was prepared exactly as I like it!

Definitely worth the visit and quite above any of the chains that serve...

Service was warm and friendly but forgetful. Fresh orange juice and coffee were great however the rest of our meal was absolute trash. Grits were barely warm and bland beyond recognition ordered them cheesy and got a smidge of shredded cheddar on top. I ordered steak(medium rare) and eggs sunny side up, steak was still cold in the middle right out of the freezer I suspect. Steak was bland, unseasoned and cooked terribly, it had to be covered in hot sauce to be edible. My eggs were sunny side up but so over cooked the yolks were 90% hard. Toast was actually decent ๐Ÿ‘. My home fries were seasoned nicely but cooked terribly under done and borderline raw crunchy ๐Ÿ˜• the sausage gravy I ordered over them was cold..... My girlfriends corned beef and Swiss omelette was a train wreck, the corned beef was not griddled or warmed at all before being tossed in the center of the Omelette with a smidge of Swiss cheese so it had the taste and texture of room temp dog food. I had high hopes for this place but I doubt I will ever return and if I do I will surely never order anything I made the mistake of ordering today. Oh and the best part !!! We both seem to have food poisoning, left the restaurant not feeling well and now after grocery shopping we are fighting for the...

I ordered the sausage egg and cheddar crepe. The filling was fine but they topped the crepe with COLD SHREDDED cheese and brought it out to me. It would have been so much more pleasing to the eye if they put no cheese at all on top and only put it inside the crepe. This presentation of the dish was just weird and seemed like the chef stuck his hand in a bag of shredded cheese and threw it at the plate with his eyes shut before serving it. I will say the orange juice was very tasty and I had no other complaints about the food. Something else to note was it felt like it was 2 degrees inside the restaurant and had me shivering while waiting for my plate of shredded cheese. I will not be returning to Simoneโ€™s and most definitely not ordering any crepes unless iโ€™m in the mood for a...

Enjoyable small spot in Mt. Lebanon. I had the maple pecan French toast and it was delicious. My sisters had an omelet and a crepe of some sort. Both were also very good, although the crepe needed a side dish with it (toast, greens, fruit - - something else on the plate). Service was good although I think only Simone was working the floor so it was a little hectic when the place filled up. She is hustling, making good food and definitely is a welcoming hostess. Well worth the try for good food, fresh ingredients, unique dishes and good atmosphere. Also, the restaurant is right next to the public parking garage at Cedar Blvd so if there are not on-street spaces, there is very easy and inexpensive parking next door.
