I’ve had their food before at other gatherings but this time I personally ordered catering for pick up. A friend used them last year for a training class he was teaching and had about 30 people in attendance. I picked up the food for him and got to see how it was all laid out. I also helped setup the food he ordered and was impressed with how it all looked. Fast forward to January 24th, I was facilitating a meeting with around 15 people. I ordered vegetable fried rice, steamed rice, vegetables yakisoba, teriyaki beef, and teriyaki chicken. The order came with complimentary salad which was nice but the salad dressing was missed and not included with the order. Not a big deal because most everybody focused on everything else. Next time, I will not order steamed rice and substitute it for more fried rice because it was hardly eaten. I want to point out that despite the salad being complimentary with no dressing to enjoy, I received a phone call a few days later with a message from the nice lady who took my order and that was there when I picked up the order. She was very apologetic after she realized she had forgotten the dressing. I was very surprised because most businesses wouldn’t have followed up regarding a minor mistake. Especially since the salad didn’t cost me anything. I was so impressed by the call and will definitely use King’s Teriyaki again. The food was good as well as the customer service. After placing the order I received a text with a complete quote plus suggestions. Overall, it was a great experience and I’ll be keeping them in my rotation of places to use. I hold 3 meetings a year and sometimes pizza and sandwiches just don’t do the job. Thanks...
Read moreI love teriyaki and only been to 3 place it was bad, this is one of them. I ordered the chicken and pork combo. Was originally disappointed by the portions at $14 before realizing the large size options for $18 I over looked while ordering. I would not have paid the much for the order. But the flavor and texture of the rice is what made it hard for me to finish my plate. After first bite I almost got up and asked for a refund. I powered through and ate my food. Even if food was good, not worth leaving a tip due to the lack of service. You need to grab your own water and utensils. There in nothing done to earn a tip beside them...
Read morePost pandemic inflation has changed everything. It's fair to assume that would increase resturant prices proportionately.
To mislead customers as well as increasing prices is bad buisness though. The lunch special now is just a smaller portion of the regular teriyaki . No gyoza . I couldn't get an answer of what was included when I called, just "ok, special and anything else?" It's not listed online either.
That, along with selling what you think would be the thick teriyaki sauce the server, in a bottle to go, which turns out to be regular sauce you could get cheaper at the grocery store, led to thedecision...
