I don’t like leaving poor reviews for a business, but I also want to be honest and leave reviews that (in my opinion) can be trusted. There are much better places for teriyaki… well, actually, only one place that I think is way better than any other teriyaki I have tried, which is Teriyaki Point in Marysville.
I think locally owned businesses have to cut corners in today’s economy, which affects the quality of product they can provide. They also have to raise prices for less desirable product.
Miako Teriyaki does have a lunch special, with your choice of spicy or regular chicken for $11, which is a good deal… but they use chicken thighs that are very chewy and rubbery. Also, none of their meals include a soda…. Which most other places do. I have tried the beef teriyaki, which is also extremely cheap & chewy meat.
I have given this place three tries, and have been disappointed every time.
I’m sorry for being so negative, but these are just my opinions. If I’m paying $15-$20 a meal, my...
Read moreBeen there twice. Food was good, but the guy ringing up there ordered seems grouchy. First time I was there I asked him what vegetables are in the fried rice. He told me but acted like it was a big imposition for him to have to answer the question. The second time I was there, I asked him to put less chicken and more vegetables. He just gave me a stupid look and then he turned around halfway and told the cook, "chicken fried rice". Heck, I thought he'd be happy to put in some more peas and carrots and save on the chicken. Fried rice is pretty good. That's all I've had there. But I don't think I can deal with this guy's attitude. Seems like he has a fair amount of regulars that get along with him fine. He really doesn't say much to them, but I saw several people thank him, as if he was something special. It was obvious they were repeat customers. Maybe I've got it all wrong. Maybe he is something special. But my business and my money will be going to...

Walked in and the lady working was literally eating at a table 6 feet from the register. As I’m ordering, she’s picking food out of her teeth — right in front of me. That should’ve been my sign to leave.
I stayed and ordered anyway (my mistake). Took 15 minutes to get my food. Asked for soy sauce — she handed me 1 packet. Asked again, she gave me 1 more. I didn’t even bother asking a third time.
Opened my food and saw a HALF-FILLED sauce container with teriyaki smeared all over the side — and guess what? They charge $0.25 extra for those. You’re telling me I just spent $22 and I have to beg for soy sauce and teriyaki??
Absolute cheapskate vibes. • $2.50 for a 12oz can • $0.40 cost coke • But no sauce unless you pry it out of them.
And then they flip the screen for a tip? LOL. Not happening. If you’re stingy with basics like sauce, don’t expect generosity in return. Terrible experience from...
