I have been a customer at this Mukilteo Starbucks drive-thru for over 10 years, and I have never felt the need to write a review until now. Unfortunately, my recent experience with a new employee named “Irem” was the worst customer service I have ever encountered at Starbucks. When I handed her my gift card to pay, she looked at me strangely and asked, “What is this?” I told her it was a gift card, yet the way she looked at me was dismissive and disrespectful. My total was $23, and the card had $10 on it. After applying the card, I asked why the total was still $23. Instead of checking with another barista, she snapped back with, “Just say so!” Her tone and attitude were completely unprofessional and left me shocked. Another kind employee stepped in and explained that she was new and had not applied the gift card correctly, and even apologized for her mistake. But the apology should have come from Irem herself. A customer should never be made to feel disrespected or looked down upon, regardless of whether an employee is in training. I truly hope Starbucks takes this seriously and provides her with proper training on not only transactions, but also basic respect and professionalism. Read moreI work near by, so this starbucks is convienent. It is absolutely the WORST Starbucks, EVER. I keep thinking, maybe the next time I go to this location it will be better. It never is. Last time I asked to reload my starbucks card for 30$ and to have my ONE drink deducted. I was charge $11 and didn't realize it tell I checked my balance later. Today, I went through the drive through, ordered an iced tea and breakfast sandwhich. When I pulled up, she asked, Wait, did you order the iced tea? I'm so confused. I replied, Yes and she handed me my drink. Then told me to have a nice day. Forgot about my sandwhich, which I politely reminded her about. She was so distracted socializing with her co-workers she ended up giving me some nutty loaf. Which I didn't realize tell I returned to work. THEN I was grumpy. Every experiece at this location has been so-so at best. Constantly getting things wrong or mixed up. I can understand one time, but it is every time. It is also the slowest drive through, and I would say it's because the employees are much too busy gossiping to supply their paying costumers with quality service. At least get my order right. Read moreI like this location, the staff are cool, the inside is pretty clean, and they are reasonably quick with making their drinks/food even during the busy mornings. I do want to give feedback maybe just to help, but some employees don’t listen to what size I order my drinks. They will give me the wrong size every so often, so I feel like they really aren’t listening to my order. It doesn’t matter too much but would rather get my size of drink I order than a different one. Also, I know baristas there and like to build relationships with their customers but I almost feel like I’m pressured to answer every single question they ask me when I’m up at the window, and they ask a lot of questions. I’d rather just have either no conversation or maybe just not feel bombarded with the overwhelming amount of questions they ask in the morning.
