It's cold outside It's cold in my belly I got free ice cream Aren't you jelly?
Andy's just opened and they are giving away free ice cream from 6 to 8pm the first two nights. Super nice of them!
I got the Ooey Gooey and my wife got the Rico Suave. Both are delicious. The free servings were a small size, but honestly the small is PLENTY big.
Creamy, thick custard with an abundance of toppings. No skimping here.
Pretty excited this place is in the Boro. It's dangerously close to my house. I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing.
I like how clean and fresh the place seems. Glass walls surround the front so you can see everyone inside. All the employees are wearing white, so it kind of feels like I'm at Willy Wonka's Factory. Now we just need these employees to step up their tanning game so we can get the full Oompa Loompa effect.
All that being said, it's pretty pricey here. Nearly $6 for a cup of ice cream. This isn't Franklin. We are a college town with student debt. Will we spend 6 bucks for a cup of ice cream? Possibly on occasions. But for that price you can go to Kroger's, which is literally across the street, and get a gallon of Blue Bell ice cream.
5 Star first impression. 4 Stars for the pricing.
Thanks for the free ice cream Andy. Welcome...
Read moreUpdate 5/31/24: not sure why this store continues to underfill their cups. I have literally went to corporate about this store and here, a year later, are still under filling their cups. This is the only Andy"s store that I've seen do this. I guess I'll have to contact corporate again. Oh, and when we asked to have it redone because it was under filled, the person that made it back talked to the manager, leaving the manager to do it themselves Update, 4/26/23: still serving cups at 2/3rd to 3/4 full. As stated preciously management team is instructing their staff to short fill your cups while charging you full price.
Excellent product; I love their custard! It is easily the best around! However, be aware, they do not give you a full cup, only about 3/4 at best regardless of size. It wasn't always like this. The first time it happened, I thought it was a mistake, so I asked for them to fill it. Now the last several times I'm lucky to get a 3/4 full container. So, either the cup is too large (they should buy smaller cups and fill those for better optics) or they're shorting your order to increase their margin.
If they're supposed to be full then the person reading this needs to get on the red phone and tell...
Read moreI have spent countless amounts of money at this location since they open. Today is Wednesday May 25th, 2022 @3:15pm. There are three young disrespectful workers with no customer service skills. My bootdaddy concrete barely had any fudge and asked if they could give me a little more on top. The young man tossed it in the garbage with the ugliest attitude. He got a new cup pumped globs of fudge and the ice cream was so melted I couldn't eat it. The young lady handed it to me and laughed in my face. I pulled around to get my money back, and the same young man said he couldn't give me a return at the window because I went through the drive through. When I turned around the Hispanic girl was laughing. Zero customer service and zero mature supervision. I will not spend any more money with this company until they can address their employees and properly train on how to respect...
