Bad day at Chuy's My wife and I have had the pleasure of dining here well before your arrival here in Murfreesboro and continued once your establishment open here. We usually enjoy our experience however tonight we had one of the most hideous experiences ever. The place was packed and we had a twenty minute wait (we thought it was worth it based on our past experience) but finally we were seated and once again we had to ten minute wait until our waitress (Bridget B) addressed us and even then she never greeted us or even smiled . She approached the table at a turtle speed and began to take our drink order and inform us she was bringing us some chips. My wife placed her water request and I asked for a Arnold Palmer tea drink. It took once again extra long time getting our drinks but once she arrived with them i asked if we may have some of your jalapeno sauce so she departed to fill our request. That trip was quicker and we placed our diner request. Our meals arrived with respectful timing however Bridget never made sure our table was properly prepped, you see our table did not have silver ware so we asked the waiter who had deliver our meal if he minded getting us some and plus finish filling my wife order with some sauce on the side. Bridget never asked her what sauce my wife wanted for her salad nor did she bring us any. My meal was spicy so i went through that first drink quickly however Bridget disappeared so we waited while she continued to ignore our table. We finally after a few attempts managed to grab her attention and I was able to asked for a refill on my beverage. She had made it perfect the first time but my second one taste unlike anything i ever tasted before plus it was bubbling like dish soap was put into it so I asked my wife to sample it hoping it was just me however she felt the same thing so we once again played the waiting game with Bridget in order to ask for yet another replacement. She took our request and deliver yet again another bad drink so after that I asked for a manager. He arrived to our table and I began to inform him about our issue however instead of him listening to what we had to say, he just attempted to talk over us and tell he knew what was wrong and he would fix it however it is difficult to fix something if he did not understand what was wrong so I informed him of how he was dealing the our issue and how he was talking over us and not listening. He then and only then change his approach and informed us he would personally remake our drink but before he left i asked him to sample our drink so he to may understand how bad our drink was. He refused and once again said he would remake our drink but I asked him since when did an Arnold Palmer tea bubble so he then asked if we thought she had put something in our drink. I told him i don't know but i did know how a real drink tasted and that was it so he left our table leaving us with a very...
Read moreWe went to this Chuy’s location for the first time last night. We were told 20 min and wait 40 mins. We weren’t upset because we knew the food would be good. I ordered a simple dish the chuychanga with seasoned beef and no cheese and no sour cream. When the food came out my dish had sour cream on it that they decided to just scrap off(that is not a correct way to serve food) I let that go because it was minor. Went to eat and lo and behold I have cheese in my food. Our server was Hannah she told me she put it on the fly. I wanted over 10 minutes. At this point I was starving waited 40 mins to sit, 10-15 minutes to order, 20 mins or so to wait on food. Over an hour of waiting. The replacement food came back and once again there was cheese in my dish and a big then of sour cream(I’m glad I wasn’t allergic) I was upset now as so much time was waisted and I still haven’t ate. We asked for the manager. The server Hannah was like my manager is making it now like that was supposed to make me happy. We declined as I was ready to just go to McDonald’s I couldn’t wait again to eat. Adding cheese is an extra step and they couldn’t get it right. The manager never came out to even apologize to us for the wait and the multiple mess ups. Not good customer service at all for all the waiting my food should of just been made again on general principal and taken off the bill. We should of been offered a gift card or something. Being there over an hour or so and I didn’t eat wasn’t ok at all. The server could have advocated more as it was so much time that I waited to eat and never did. If I had the managers name I would of posted it too but unfortunately they never came out. I know it was a female. I completely upset at the lack of customer service from a manager and the lack of listening from the kitchen. Asking for no cheese and sour cream is not a big ask. We just moved out to Murfreesboro and i dont know if we will even be back to this location after last night. We took our seats around 6:40pm on 11/10/23 and probably left around 8 or before. Do better Chuy’s no one should have to go to a restaurant and wait that long and not eat or even be compensated for it or even able to speak to the manager.
Update I did a corporate complaint as well and once I did that I got a response really quickly probably within a few days from the manager Brad from the chuy location and he apologized and he told me to give chuy another chance and I did he sent me a coupon for Two to eat free and the food was excellent. I had no cheese on my meal and I can say my Views have changed and I will definitely be back to this location. Thank you Brad for rectify the situation and resolving it I...
Read moreUnderwhelmed! For this particular visit I wish there was a different rating aside from one star say a negative star. I had been to Chuy's and number of different times and it is their unique flavor and combination of other spices which makes their food exceptionally good when it comes to Tex Mex.
However it was really the service and the lack of attention given by the server as well as the manager who seem to be interested in more of the hip tables or younger tables but not necessarily ours.
I took a guest with me and she had never been to Chuy's before and her experience not only left her extremely confused but for the price it was surreal to say the least. The manager had watched me and my guest take pictures of our food and also box it up. a message that I thought was going to be sent and received by the hosting desk as well as a manager is when I handed my leftover food to one of the hosts and ask if they could toss that in the trash since there wasn't one within my grasp
you would typically think that witnessing such a thing would have caught the attention of the manager who by the way was watching as me and my guest my daughter exited. It's frustrating to have the table behind you being properly attended to with a server who was engaged with the table and made sure that their experience was all that it could be and all that she could offer...
however when it came to our server he would approach the table, look our way and thinking that he was going to stop and see if we needed our drinks refreshed or any other things walked on past and remained over attentive to the other tables while we sat there watching the lady make fresh tortillas.
I believe the potential for this location to constantly be busy any day of the week is without question within a fingertips reach. However if other folks experience something similar that me and my first time guest dead, then I really hold reservations as to the success and longevity of this particular franchise location and being able to accommodate and cater to guess of all ages...
I will certainly give Chewy's another chance but ask for the location in Murfreesboro Tennessee, I have to say...
