Where do I start?
I have spent a lot of time in and around this store because my partner worked here since the day they opened. I have spent lots of money at this store and met several of the employees and managers. I have heard many stories about the sloppy, unsafe, and undesirable work environment that is Donatos of Murfreesboro.
Let's talk about how the owner refuses to pay her employees accordingly for the amount of work they are required to do. I won't disclose how much, since I didn't work here myself, but I could see how it affected the associates that work there: long hours to make up for the lack of appropriate compensation in addition to the way they have been treated: unhappy and indifferent employees. Which is why your orders take 25-45+ minutes and are often incorrect.
And since we are on the topic of wages, it might be useful to know that for the last two years, any person who has worked the front register has not received a single tip that a customer has left. So DO NOT waste your money, or tip in cash.
Now let's discuss the up-and-coming new General Manager, Miles Tanner. The first time I met him, BEFORE he knew who I was, he offered terrible service! He made me uncomfortable with his jokes and seriously, walked away from me when I asked if I could order some food. So I stood at the counter for about 5 minutes before someone else came to help me. I stopped ordering food from the restaurant and refused to come into the store shortly after that, because every time I came in he continued to make me uncomfortable. And I know for a fact he makes the associates feel the same way.
The food is pretty good, that much is true. But it's not like the owners of this specific store created these recipes. Go to another Donatos, like the one in Nashville that actually awards tips to their employees. But continuing to put your money towards this store perpetuates the owner, Angela Gorden, to creating an miserable work environment when she treats her employees as though they are beneath her and that their time and efforts are never...
Read moreWe ordered carry out on 9/1/2017 (Friday). We were told it would be ready in 50 minutes. My husband drove to pick it up and got there about 10 minutes early. While he was waiting for our order, 4 people asked for their money back as their carry out orders were taking too long. My husband gave Donato's the benefit of the doubt and waited 35 minutes (25 minutes past when our pizza should have been ready) before asking for a status and if our pizza was ready. The young girl working the register went to back and came back, shrugged and told my husband that she wasn't sure if it was ready or not!!! WHAT?!?! How do you not know? So he asked for our money back and all she said was "okay" and refunded him... no explanation, apology, nothin'! Another customer had just walked in and heard the exchange between the cashier and my husband and promptly asked for her money back knowing that if he had waited 75 minutes for a 50 minute order that Donato's didn't even know the status of yet, she didn't want to find out how long her order was going to take.
Once he got back to the house with our dinner from chipotle, I called Donato's to complain and get an explanation for the delay and lack of concern for their customers. I was on hold for 3-4 minutes before the yonng man told me that he needed to take my name and number and the manager would call me back. To no surprise, I never received a call. This just proves that they do not care about the quality of their service nor have respect for their customer's time.
We live nearby and would surely frequent the establishment if the service was even mediocre. Needless to say, we will not be returning for dine in...
Read more2-2-24 - I highly DO NOT recommend this disgusting food! Papa John's is better than this, and they suck too!
I placed an order to pick up. I was told that the pickup time would be 6:52 p.m.. I got there just a few minutes after. My food was not ready because they were waiting on one thing. I paid and I left at 7:03 p.m.
I live 1.5 miles from this location; with no stop lights and 1 stop sign, and literally no traffic in this area. So the food should be, at the least, warm. Everything was cold. Their sauce is disgusting. Their are just as good as the sauce. The only thing that was barely half decent, were the bread sticks, which were cold too.
After calling and talking to the manager, explaining the situation and even **offering to bring all of the food back, I was put on hold for her to talk to her District Manager. Their response was to only refund the small pizza because I didn't pick my food up, supposedly, in a timely manor. She also explained that everything was made to order, that estimated pick ups are 10-15 minutes, " but really take like 5 minutes to make, then they go on a heating rack! " I was honestly pushed to the point to finally tell her to not even worry about the refund, just keep my money, and hung up.
The same food that wasn't ready when I got there! The same food I had to wait for after arriving! She was extremely rude and accusing about the situation. I didn't even get to explain the food wasn't ready when I got there.
$42 completely wasted. No even worth heating up. It was that disgusting! It's still sitting on my...
