Wow, this is a rough one. I understand the industry is experiencing a labor shortage, but the coming tirade boils down to one word: accountability. For starters, the restaurant exterior seemed acceptably clean. Most Hardee’s restaurants are in such poor condition that it makes one think twice before bringing a spouse or child inside. +1 for Hardee’s. I was even surprised at the lack of deep black tracks coming from entryways and back doors. Most QSR managers don’t think to clean here. Unfortunately, the quality of the visit drops precipitously from here. I order my food, pull up to the window, and receive a quiet, albeit labored statement of my total. I present my card, get it back, and I’m told to pull up. Nobody is behind me. I’ve worked in fast food concepts before, so I’m aware this isn’t standard practice unless I’m waiting on a full cook. Spoiler alert: I did not have to wait for the full cook. I’m told to pull into a handicapped spot (illegal, but I oblige. Who doesn’t like to live dangerously?) and I’m treated to a view of the employee smoking outside. Does Hardee’s not require employees to smoke at the dumpster pad or in their personal vehicle? Surely the manager will do something about it, right? Wrong. Once I receive my food and go to pull out, the manager has now joined employee in smoking outside the restaurant. Nice. But let’s return to the drive-thru time. Where is the General Manager in all of this? Is it standard practice for the GM to leave after the breakfast rush and tell the closing team to maintain the drive-thru time by whatever means necessary? (And why would above-store leadership permit this?) Sure seems like it if I’m pulling up for a two minute wait. I brush it off as crankiness and come home to eat. I go to open a tender wrap and see the packaging has been wrapped INTO the entree. No big deal, they were probably in a rush. I attempt to unwrap it and the melted cheese tears the paper and it disappears into the sandwich. I put one wrap down and grab the second hoping for better luck. No such luck. Exact same situation. Do I try to eat with the additional pulp and try not to think about the last time the wrap storage tray was cleaned? Or do I pick everything off with paper stuck to it? The wraps land in my trash can before...
Read moreWent through the drive about 8:30pm on 9/28. I ordered 2 All Stars ( I hope I got the burger name right) but I had a coupon. I told them I wanted everything on the burger but I wanted mayonnaise as the sauce, no ketchup or mustard. I paid for order and was asked to pulled to the side in a parking spot. I waited about 6 to 7 minutes. I got my order and went home. Got home to eat and there was ketchup on my burgers. I called the store and spoke to the manager and she told me she was sorry and said she wrote my name in the book and I could pick my order up anytime. The following night I asked my mother to pick up my order. That's when it was a problem. She told the guy at the window my name and he asked her for my receipt. The previous night I didn't get my receipt, but I paid with my debit card, and didn't even get a napkin after I waited on the side. I called the store while my mother was at the speaker. A guy answered the phone and I asked to speak to the manager and was told she was at the speaker, I'm assuming talking to my mother. I waited a little over 3 minutes and no one ever came back. I called my mom and she told me she just ordered a pie and had to wait and that it wasn't worth all the hassle. So I called back several times with no answer but then the same guy answered, and picked up the phone, NO HELLO, and said mam we are busy. I said can I speak to a manager and he never let me speak to the manager. He was rude and it seems at night they pull cars and make you wait only to still get your order wrong in the long run. I know places are short staffed but places want the customers to be considerate of the circumstances but the staff is rude and can't get your order write. Make it make...
Read more08/14/2022 @about 3:30pm I witnessed this store filled with rude employees ran by a rude chubby white lady manager wearing glasses with brown hair. We didn’t catch her name but we will be finding out soon and I will be speaking with someone about it. My boyfriend is highly allergic to bread and everything you can name. We came through drive thru for something quick asking for fresh burger Patties and to make sure they didn’t get cross contaminated (as that is all he can eat) he will become deathly ill if he eats anything he isn’t suppose to. You can clearly tell the manager on duty was having an attitude because she slammed the window on us after they refused to make us fresh food her employee went to the back and she came up and opened the window got a snotty attitude and tried to tell us our food was fresh when it clearly wasn’t. I’ve been a manager at Burger King for 6 years I know the difference between dropping burgers fresh in the broiler and ones that have been sitting in a PHU pan thrown into a bag. They took absolutely no precautions to make sure the food wasn’t cross contaminated. The food was ready and out the window like a minute after he paid. Proving that it was not freshly dropped. After we asked for our money back she opened the door and threw the 5$ bill on the ground. Her whole attitude was uncalled for and unprofessional. We simply asked for fresh food and she refused. We won’t be going back and I will be talking to whoever I can to make sure this gets delt with because she should not be a manager yet alone be working...
