My wife and I have been there several times. I understand the frustration of training staff. That time is over. Just not used to extremely salted broccoli, canned, over sweetened carrots either. There is alot to enjoy with bokchoy,Napa cabbage, scallion for flavor and presentation. Of which they do not have.I ordered an item and the sushi chef denied my request. Not a good response. Patrons should be able to order what they enjoy or find somewhere else to go. Our server Eva did an excellent rendition of knowing what she knew how to do. She was professional. Her hands were tied. It would be wonderful if they deceived their shrimp. Tempura should not crunch like nacho chips. The atmosphere is very pleasant outside. Just not any fun swatting flies from your food. Inside or out! I believe the choice of vegetables would be a huge improvement. I can get broccoli and carrots anywhere, I just choose not to. Stir fried snow peas are also welcome. I wish them well, and hope they pay attention to the reviews. Thank you and continue to grow. We will try again, only without the vegetables. One more thing, if you like bagged iceberg salad mix, you're in the right place. Spring mix would help immensely, along with a better selection of dressings. Till...
Read moreThis is only about the food because my friend purchased and spoke to the staff.
My dad and our friend started getting take out from Kobe Grill a few weeks ago. The food has had some hits and misses but on the most part the best we have had in and around the NC and GA region.
Hits: The sushi rolls are incredible! I've had many different ones all spot on! My father loved the Shrimp Tempura and also the Habachi steak meal. Edamame was great just needed a splash of salt.
Misses: Salad, was just some lettuce that didn't taste fresh, cut up in a bowl, I didn't eat. The "traditional ginger dressing" was not even close to what I've eaten in the past. I was really looking forward to a bright fresh salad.
All fried foods we have tried were sadly so burnt it was uneatable to eat. It was money just thrown out.
Additional information:
July 3rd went in for takeout My dad got the Habachi steak again and he loves that meal (salad was same as last time, 2 small carrot slivers, I guess this mayo based thing goes with it because I couldn't find anything else.) My dad used the mayo thing with the steak.
I ordered a CA roll and a Spider roll (soft shell crab). Both rolls were incredibly tasty and I...
Read moreTried Kobe Grill in Murphy for the first time early this evening. I’ve always liked the other Kobe locations. I like the mostly outdoor concept of the restaurant, but today’s high temp was 94 degrees, so we opted to sit inside. I should mention that there’s only 6 tables inside, and the rest are outside. They had both the front door and side door that goes onto the patio propped open with no air flowing (there was not a breeze today and they have no ceiling fans inside) and absolutely no air conditioning on. It was at least 78 degrees inside the restaurant. This also brought tons of flies in and constantly having to swat them away from the food. Our meals were pretty good, the sushi was the best part. I got the hibachi jumbo shrimp with broccoli and it was mediocre. Some things were not correct on our bill, and our server was a little squirrelly, but she was very nice overall. Definitely need to be mindful of the weather and maybe don’t prop doors open because the grills already make it quite hot inside, as it’s not a big space indoors. On a cooler day/night, the covered patio would probably be very nice. We will likely give it...
